Review: FEB 10 14 This is a formal Complaint against the Yellow Jersey, Ltd., and its longtime Owner, [redacted], for deceptive commercial practices, price collusion, customer abuse, and general lack of commitment to customer service, kind treatment, and honor and value for patrons and prospective patrons. This business promotes itself as a commercial business that services the niche retail market of bicycle services, sales, and repairs. First and foremost, the Yellow Jersey, as a commercial business, has a general disdain for operating in the spirit of service for its customers. This is a first hand account. The Owner, [redacted], does not wish nor work to serve his customers. He employs a very irresponsible approach in his personal and customer relations with the customers that seek to purchase products from his small business. Here are some specific business practices that disregard the needs of customers: (1.) Failure to provide a formal Quotation for the cost of an extensive list of goods to show cost, and any extra fees to respect the budget concerns of customers. (2.) Refusal to adhere to an organization structure in providing the cost and expense of goods for sale. (3.) Failure to respect customer needs. (4.) Failure to commit to a good spirit of respecting and valuing customer requests. (4.) Refusal to offer any kind of sale, savings, or discounts to the customer to deliver value (even when sale is profitable to the business). (5.) A general sense of superiority and condescension to the customer that is unwarranted, unearned, and meritless. (6.) Refusal to offer any value or savings to the customer. (7.) Refusal to honor personal checks that guarantee honorable payment on redemption. (8.) Collusion in price fixing and not offering market rates for products. (9.) Retail price markups that range from 400% markups for road front derailleur, up to 800% markups for aluminum rims. (10.) Multiple attempts to upsell and price gouge by selling parts a la carte, rather than as a complete system. (11.) Employing dishonest sales practices that hurt customers pocketbook by attempting to upsell for goods and services by charging for items piece rate. (12.) Attempts to charge state sales taxes for interstate and internet sales. (13.) An aggressive angst to create problems rather than work in a spirit of goodness and cooperation to "help" customers. (14.) Returned an honorable check back to the customer, though price was in line with part price disclosure. (15.) A desire for immediate cash that does not respect traditional payment methods, such as personal checks, which are readily redeemed at any bank institution. (16.) Refused to respond to specific concerns in e-mails. (17.) Refusal to act in honor and respect for customers by establishing respectful communication with his customer by telephone. (18.) Refusal to have value for customer input on sales of any items, small parts or larger, more expensive items. (19.) General ignorance and irresponsibility. (20.) The conveyence of an attitude of general disdain for customers that seek to patronize a business, without first hand knowledge of the true environment, as it relates to customer services and products, of this enterprise. (21.) Returned envelopes, payments, correspondences to the customer, rather than provide Specific Performance on a definitive sales order. Those documents are attached. To summarize, the Yellow Jersey and its Owner have no value for customers and are not interested in serving. It appears that the only motivation for the enterprise is to attempt to extract massive profits and upselling from customers, while having no value for the person or patronization and revenue brought to the company. The owner is self-centered and has his self in a God pedestal with his customers in the obligatory position of being solely to be used for Unjust Enrichment through business practices that are well below board level and any smidgeon of integrity. This is the absolute worst business I have ever patronized.Desired Settlement: FEB 10 14 Based on the previous attitudes and approaches towards services and salesmanship, I don't see the Yellow Jersey and its owner, [redacted], as having the attitude, foremost, desire, integrity, and commitment to service to deliver Specific Performance on any attribute, expectation, or demand, whether it be simple and small, or a more complex project.
