Revdex.com:
At this time, I have not been contacted by Yellow-Pages-America.com regarding complaint ID [redacted].  The only communication that we have received from the business is a fax every few days reminding us that our...

payment is long overdue.  There has not been any phone calls and/or emails from Yellow Pages regarding the complaint that we have filed.
Sincerely,

Review: This company called my business and asked an employee to sign a contract that it had mailed or faxed to the business or I would loose the chance to be in the yellow pages when the next book came out in my area. A employee ("They say") signed this faxed contract for a three year advertising term at $109.00 a month payable a year in advance. This employee if they even signed it did not have any authority to sign any contract for any service or advertising with this company. I as the owner would not ever place an add with a national yellow pages if given the chance and have told them so on many occasions over the last 20 years. I don't even pay for yellow pages adds in the local directory that they offer in my area, much less an obscure national phone book, which I do not even know exists. I sent them a letter telling them to cancel this contract and they sent me a letter telling me they decline this cancellation.Desired Settlement: Since I did not want or authorize any contract for a National Yellow pages add, nor did anyone in my employment have the authority to sign any kind of contact to do so, I want the letters asking for payment to stop and any future calls trying to get my employees to sign contracts with out authority to stop.

Review: My office was contacted via regular U.S. Mail and via facsimile by a company of the name of Yellow Pages of America working with a company which they claim to be a collection's company by the name of Direct Factoring EOOD. In the letter it stated that we owed $2,816.00 to the Yellow Pages America Inc. for advertising my pediatric listing. Of course this looked legit. I disagreed on the amount and I terminated the contract that I had with them and forwarded a check in the amount of $1,308.00, which they agreed upon. I started to take a closer look and wanted to contact them to discuss this matter. All of the addresses and telephone numbers are international. I believe that this is a scam. I would like to get confirmation as to if this business is in fact a real publishing company.Desired Settlement: I would like for justice to be served as appropriate.

Review: This company asked us to 'confirm' or business listing information for the Yellow Pages, and then once we did they started sending invoices for $1308. They told us if we want to cancel to just write cancel on the invoice and fax it back, and then after that we did not hear from them for over a year. Then all of a sudden we began receiving invoices and letters from a collection agency in Ireland. They are now claiming that we owe $2816 and want it to be sent to a bank in Bulgaria. This is an unethical company who tries to trick unsuspecting business owners into 'updating' their info, and then try to bully them into paying ridiculous fees.Desired Settlement: This business needs to stop contacting us. We do not want any services from them, nor have we ever.

Sincerely,

Review: First I didn't think anything about the yellow pages callin our company to update a listing. The caller I do not have his name verified our address phone number and then started asking for my personal information like my date of birth and it raised a concern, After a few probing questions I came to realize they are trying to scam me into a internet service that was not even mentioned so I said no thank you and hung up like any other American after saying no to a sales call. Well then they called me everyday and when I asked to please be removed from the call list I got a no and if you don't go thru with this we will continue to call!! And finally after a few more days of harassment I finally got transferred to a "[redacted] and he informs me by ending the call I automatically got signed up for the service! had a $34.95 fee and would also get a 8.99 fee monthly! I still hadn't even been told what the service was and had never been told they were even offering anything let alone ok'd a service! So then a guy named [redacted] claimed he was the highest up and ONLY [redacted] that worked there. I knew this was a lie and he was very disrespectful and unprofessional even telling me he didn't care if I contacted the Revdex.com for being harassed and scammed! Then I said ok im ending this call I do not accept anything from your company and I explained I would be contacting the Revdex.com. He got out a quick I don't care you have charges and I hung up. Well then less then 2 minutes They called me again and this time it was a different [redacted] and he was higher up than [redacted]. Concerned and frustrated I failed to get his name. I verified they were calling out of a new your headquarters and saw the address on the yellow pages websight so I thought ok I don't want service but I will co operate so the harassment would stop. and this is where they tried to scam me a second time! saying they were going to forward me to a recording service and just don't ask questions just say yes! that is what a [redacted] told me shut up don't ask questions and say yes. I informed him again I do not want this service never inquired about this service and was never even told what the service was for gods sake! he too got a very unprofessional attitude and told me im still getting charged. So with all this being said I do not understand how a replicable company like the yellow pages can get away with LIENG, SCAMMING, AND HARASSMENT. All while being completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I feel they are trying to scam people out of money and I thought the days of Phone Sales scams were over.... Thank you for reviewing this complaint and I hope proper action will be taken..Desired Settlement: I would like the Yellow Pages to be fined for harassment and scaming people for money and trying to FORCE me to buy a service that was never even presented to me. I would also like them to receive some sort of contact to evaluate their sales and customer service practices.

Review: Back in 2012 I received one page letter in mail just to confim my business info. That was what I did and fax it back to the # provided. Later on started to receive bills for over $1000 and this year started to receive bills in the amount of $4524. The company sending the bill is called [redacted] locaded in foreign country Bulgaria. I called # listed to find out what was going on sople with [redacted]@ [redacted] she asked me if I was the owner when confirmed that she said that I have to pay the bill and was screaming at me and did not want to give me any options. I am with yellow pages but paying my bill with [redacted] not [redacted]. I have no idea what to do when I contacted [redacted] they told me that they can not help me out since they are not related to yellow pages america inc.

Review: This company makes themselves look like the local phone company and asks if you would like your business to be listed. When you agree they send you a bill for $1308.00. I think the entire thing is a scam. The postal service has also sent out a letter asking about this company and saying they have had many complaints. I mailed them a letter over 6 months ago stating I would not fall for this scam and I continue to occasionally receive invoices and now have received one from a collection agency in Ireland. I do not intend to pay this company anything.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to stop contacting me!

Response:

I have not been contacted by this company. I was contacted in by the US Postal Service informing me of an investigation into fraudulent behavior on behalf of this company and advising me not to pay any invoices.

Thank you

Review: Temporary employee inadvertently signed a "contract" in hopes to update our business address change. Sent a letter to cancel "contract" and was denied. Was unable to contact company due to non-working numbers, no response, etc. and began receiving invoices for 4 years of advertising fees. We never intended to advertise with this company and they have refused to acknowledge our termination letter.Desired Settlement: Termination of "contract" and clearing invoice balance to $0.

Review: At the beginning of 2012, we received a form via fax from Yellow-Pages-America.com. At the top of the fax, it stated "FREE Data Update for all Customers". Since it stated it was "free", the form was filled out and faxed back. A few months later, we received a later stating that we owed $1,188 immediately. The bank that was listed on the letter was in Bulgaria. That right there threw up a red flag and made us think that this was all a scam. A few months after receiving that letter, we got a letter from the Postal Service in New York stating that they are conducting an investigation about the activities of the Yellow Pages America due to numerous complaints that they had received. The correspondence that was included with that letter was exactly what we had received from Yellow Pages America. Since receiving that letter, we have gotten several reminders from Yellow Pages saying that our payment was overdue and that we needed to make an immediate payment. Each address on the reminders were different as well. We tried to cancel our so-called contract and they sent a return letter declining the cancellation. We want absolutely nothing to do with this company anymore and we do not plan on paying a dime.Desired Settlement: We would like the letters and reminders that payment is due to stop coming and for the people to stop contacting the business! We want nothing to do this company.

Sincerely,

Review: For four years now we have asked yellow pages America to remove our listing due to being a bogus company. They have refused to remove our name and keep harassing us with faxes and letters stating we owe them money. I spoke with them again today to remove our listing. I want to know what my rights are a consumer to have them stop harassing me and to remove our name from their website.Desired Settlement: We want their so-called contract void and for them to stop harassing us and all money they say we owe them ($5,232.00 USD & $5,232.00 CAD) to be zero out.

Review: Received a letter from Direct Factoring Ireland claiming the payment for advertisement in Yellow Pages of America

Review: this company has put our company into collections for an invoice for services that we were unaware of. No authorized individual from our company signed their so-called contract.Desired Settlement: they will seize to exist

Review: This company represents itself as the local phone company and asks for "additional data" to assure the company address, etc. is listed correctly in the Yellow Pages. When you, or more likely your receptionist, provides the information and signs the faxed request, the company sends a bill for $1308.00 ($109 per month for one year). First, the contract is invalid. The signature request does not provide that the signor must be an "authorized agent"and the contract indicates that the contract is for "two years, at a monthly price of $109, payable 1 year in advance". After reading the numerous complaints filed against this company, I realized that several other "unauthorized agents" of various companies did the same thing. In one complaint, the complaining party provided, "[t]he postal service has also sent out a letter asking about this company and saying they have had many complaints. I mailed them a letter over 6 months ago stating I would not fall for this scam and I continue to occasionally receive invoices and now have received one from a collection agency in Ireland." Our company has experienced the same. Based on the information obtained via the internet, the postal service, and the law, we are not obligated to pay this company. We are filing this complaint to assure a verdict in our favor should this company seek collection measures that adversely affect our business. Also, I would like to note that this company has moved from the New York address indicated on this website to [redacted] However, the telephone number, ###-###-#### is the same. When called, the information provided is that "this company is not in service" in an English accent.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to stop sending facsimiles to my place of business. I would also like a letter in writing verifying that no money is owed. I am considering contacting the police to make sure other companies do not fall victim to this [redacted]

Review: This was received to us and we believe it is a scam.

We read this online from the Revdex.com. Exactly what is listed below is what occurred.

Our business receives a fax out of the blue from an online business directory asking you to confirm your contact details. On closer inspection of the form’s small print, it specifies details of an agreement to sign up to their advertising services.

• To make the offer appear legitimate, the fax or email claims to come from a well-known business, complete with their logo and branding. It may also include a link to a website that has a reputable-sounding domain name and all the hallmarks of a professional site.

• If you sign and return the form, the scammer will claim that you have accepted their offer and are locked in to pay an expensive ongoing contract, such as $99 per month for a minimum two-year period. They may demand payment 12 months in advance.

• If you refuse to pay, the scammers might try to intimidate you by threatening legal action or debt collection.Desired Settlement: We just want the bill to be adjusted to 0.00 as this is a service we never requested.

Review: We were solicited by this company through fax to give additional information about our company and return via fax. This was done in haste by me, who is not authorized to give consent to any contracts. I assumed that this was updating our information only. The only person authorized to give consent would be the owner and [redacted] of the company [redacted]. We tried contacting the company and they hung up on us, when we tried to explain the situation. When I tried to call back no one would answer the phone. They have now sent us to a collection company out of the United States. Direct Factoring EOOD UEC Bldg. [redacted] Units [redacted] & [redacted], [redacted]. Contact person is [redacted] at ###-###-####. I tried calling the number and it went to a machine asking to leave a message, when I tried it hung up on me before I could leave it. This all started on 6-**-12. Also in the letter that we received today, they want us to mail them a check for the amount of $2,816.00 within a week to Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria. Address is [redacted]: [redacted] Bic/Swift [redacted]. And that if they don't receive it within a week the Company will take further steps to recover the money through other collection methods which they say will affect the credit rating to the business. I had also made a complaint back 2012 with the New York Revdex.com, and you were never able to contact the Yellow pages because they had moved again. The complaint ID was [redacted]. Thank you for looking into this.Desired Settlement: Too have them stop the collecting process and harassing us.

Review: In 2012 Noisegate was contacted to update its listing with no other agreement about future paid advertising. Later Noisegate recieved a bill for $1308. Calling the company goes in circles with nobody that speaks English. In 2014 new invoices started to appear with request for payment to a different address [redacted] with same phone number ###-###-####

with modified name to Yellow Pages America.com

These are scam artistsDesired Settlement: Would like Yellow Pages to immediatly CEASE and DESIST all futher communications with Noisegate Car Audio
