A cold call came into our office on 06/18/2013.they advertised a free service then we were billed. A cold call came into our office on 06/18/2013. The represenative stated that we needed to renew our "free" yellow page ad. The rep asked our secretary if she was able to go forth with the renewal. After that this company has harassed and abused our office staff demanding $ for a supposed "free" renewal. They have faxed and called several times. The last phone call came in on 01/27/2014 from a [redacted] who was very abusive and made threats of legal action against us. He called from this # (XXX) XXX-XXXXDesired SettlementWe want the charges of $637.14 to be removed and for the company to never be able to contact us again

A business called @Yellow Pages contacted our office, asking for the office manager. When the call was transferred to the manager, the following questions were asked: 1. You are on a recorded line for quality and training purposes. Is this ok? 2. Can we confirm that your business address is [redacted] PA XXXXX?3. Are you authorized to approve and receive invoices?4. Can we send an invoice from our company to your attention? Our office manager answered 'yes' to all of the questions, assuming we had received services from a business already and that the business was calling to confirm the billing information so they could send an invoice. Months later, we received a phone call from the company, stating we had an outstanding invoice of $698. When the office manager objected to the invoice, saying she never authorized the services, the @Yellow Pages representative played a recording of her answering the questions above. The representative said that by agreeing to receive the invoice, we also agreed to the services. The representative threatened the office manager, using legal jargon and threatening to take the business to court, costing the office $1954. He also said that it is in our best interest not to seek legal advice because the verbal authorization is legally binding and that no legal assistance would change that. He gave us a timeline and ultimatum to pay the balance, stating that he would follow up with several more calls to give us one last chance before we end up in court. The representative even showed us a listing with our information, which was supposedly a part of the service we requested. He claimed search engine optimization without any actual proof that the service was truly provided. Here is the information for the company:http://www.atyellowpages.com/; XXX-XXX-XXXX; 1923 Bragg St, #XXX-XXXX, Sanford, NC XXXXX; Company representative, [redacted]Desired SettlementI would like the bill sent to us to be voided and some written documentation, explaining that we are not responsible for the balance to help protect our business from this company. I'm not sure of what they can legally do to this business, but I want to be sure we aren't going to be held liable for the charges for services we never requested and most likely never received.

Yellow pages said they would drive business to my website and they have not. I was told by yellow pages that the advertising for my site would draw more business which it has not. My total sales from my business since yellow pages started advertising is 0. I get numerous calls day and night regarding restaurants, BBQ grill repair, and even grocery stores which I did not sign up for. Yellow pages started advertising for my business and I have already received a 9,000.00 bill. Now they're saying that I'm under contract for 12 months. Yellow pages has not kept their end of the deal by me making more money on my site. I am displeased with the service I have received. I've been getting at least 20 calls a day the don't even concern my business. I have not received any business to my site at all. Because of this I am having to close my business. I was lied to about driving traffic to my site. My website has an eternal counter to tell how many people have been to my site. Yellow pages told me it's over 300 my site says less than 75.Desired SettlementI want my business with yellow pages to be over and my so called contract which I was not told about to be cancelled. Because I was lied to about making more money. I haven't made any money and already received a 9,000.00 bill. I want everything to be over with, with yellow pages because I was told a lot of things and have received nothing.
