Yellow Stone Construction (D/B/A Laurence Purcell )

We contracted with Yellow Stone Construction to pave our driveway, in part because of the added benefits and services they promised to provide. for example, the curb in front of our home is made of asphalt, and has deteriorated over the last several years. [redacted] (of Yellow Stone) promised that they would repair this curb as part of the job. They finished paving our driveway 4 weeks ago but this and many other things have not yet been done. In fact, he no longer answers his phone when I call and never responds to messages left. The unfinished work also includes: (1) a wire that crosses our driveway as part of our "Invisible fence" for our dog was to be buried, but a significant piece remains above the asphalt and is likely to be damaged in its current position (2) drain pipes from our gutters lead onto our driveway. [redacted] promised to raise the pipes to the same grade level as the driveway so they would not be clogged by snow or other materials. (3) [redacted] had promised to widen one part of the driveway by about 12 inches. He did not do this while he was here, but promised to do so when they came back to finish the work. (4) We had pavers added to the first 8 feet of the driveway, and a concrete strip runs between them and the street. [redacted] promised to cover that concrete strip with asphalt to make the ride into the driveway smoother and to reduce the wear on the concrete. (5) He told us before he left that the layer of sand his team put on the pavers was not enough and that they needed to come back "after it settled" to add another layer. (6) [redacted] promised that his team would be back to clean the extra asphalt off the rocks, patio stairs, etc. that line our driveway. (7) There is a wooden stick that is half-way covered by the asphalt in the middle of our driveway, along with a big piece of rubber that is sticking up from the asphalt in a different area. [redacted] promised to come back to address all of this on Tuesday, September 24th. He has not returned.
