THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!!! BEWARE, READ THERE ''BAIT AND SWITCH'' POLICIES.. DO NOT GO TO YELLOWSTONE COUNTRY MOTORS IN LIVINGSTON BEWARE!!! [redacted] They listed the 2011 Ford Escape They have up on Add for 11,600 this morning. they have since changed the price.
I called this afternoon astounded by the awesome deal, as were looking for a escape. I spoke with a salesman named [redacted]. He repeadly told me yes, it was 11,600 , it only had 32 k miles on it, and that is was eceptionally clean. I have wasted my time countless times with people, and driving to see there polished turd, SO I said word for word "" walk around the vehicle when we get off the phone, check it from every angle, for rock chips, hail pings, literally anything that would dissuade me from buying it"" He says great I'll call you right back. He calls me back and is excited to tell me '' This car is very clean, no scratches or dents'' We make an appointment to drive over from Belgrade to Livingston, they had a hour to prepare put the car outfront for a test drive. I load the entire family up, the dog, my 5 year old daughter, my infant son , and my girlfriend. We drive the 40 minute drive over the pass, and are greated by a obvious new hire sales man, named [redacted]. I walk around the 2011 escape to access its value/condition. Right off the bat I notice, 3 splinters in the windshield that are all cracking, The hood has a 12 '' scratch , yes 1' foot scratch on the center of it, with tons of little rock chips. Even better, the frame of the rear hatch has a baseball size dent, with paint chipping from it. I automatically point all this out, and the sales guy just kind of gives me the oh Im new and I dont know [redacted] look , and apology. I forget about it, as I know this truck is under book for somereason. Before we take it for a test drive I notice a card in the drivers side dash that cleary states, $16,900.00. I ask him, ''why is this car so marked down, is it the rear hatch that needs replaced, that cant be more than a grand?"" He doesnt have a clue. So I say, ok we will be back in 20. We test drive it.. I exit the dealership , turn left toward Garnier and Im off. We return 20 minutes latter , the whole family excited to buy it.. its a deal. We will give them there asking price cash .. minus are trade in.
We return, we tell the newbie sales guy, yes we want it, no we want a sales guy that knows what he is doing. So the dealership shuttles us inside, gives the kids access to there play area, popcorn , and soda, while we wait. The Manger comes out and test drives are trade in. We wait. . .
Finally 30 minutes into this , the same [redacted] original new hire sales guy comes, up and Says
''We don't know how this happened but, the car is actually $16,900.. so do you still want it?""
We were furious , and told him politely absolutely no, and cant believe they would waster are time with a bait and switch type scenario. He apoligies agian. My girlfriend , our kids and dog pack up and walk out. Im still brewing with frustration at this point, and as I exit, I ask the guy where this manger is. He points 20 feet over to a desk where the same guy who test drove my car is sitting, working on paperwork.
I walk up and engage him, I ask him why he didnt so much as come over and offer his apologies to my family. He says well I sent over the guy who made the mistake , I'm really busy.. Im sorry. I could not believe what I was hearing. This guy pins it on his new hire, taking zero accountability for the incident. What a back bone he has, [redacted]! I tell him, what I think , which is, you have someone working for you, the entire infrastructure is hung on you, your baby, your responsibility . If you don't train someone to responsibly use a phone, or place internet adds, than they shouldn't be doing it. My girlfriend knows more about power train options and different model cars then this salesman. Its scary, how undertrained this individual was, and the lack of responsibility the manager took for this whole situation. The fact he blamed it on this poor salesman who was already sweating infront of a disgrunted customer. I ask him if he will honor the price we were given, the price we understood as we drove 70 miles round trip to see this car , and drive it. The price that was not only quoted to me, but the price that I repeatedly asked if it was indeed the price after seeing the sticker on the dash. He responded that he wouldnt and couldnt take a hit like that, and sorry your right , and blah blah blah.
If I owned this establishment, I would have done something. Steak dinner for the whole family would have been the least, and honeslty Iwouldnt have let them out of my store until I figured out a way to sell the truck to them , no matter what it took. They didnt even offer NOTHING> >>>> are you [redacted] serious !!!!!
Trust me , this will go on [redacted].. this will be repeated.. copy and [redacted] paste. YOU WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE> >> YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE THROUGH REVIEWS LIKE THIS.. I WILL POST THIS ON CRAIGSLIST. YOU CAN FLAG IT ALL YOU WANT YELLOWSTONE MOTORS. . . I HAVE SEVERAL ACCOUNTS.. DIFFERNT IP... FLAGGING WILL DO YOU NO GOOD.
THE BEST YOU CAN DO IS RESPOND.. TO THE EMAIL ABOVE.. AND OFFER SOMETHING. MAKE IT RIGHT DO THE RIGHT THING. . .

As a broke down traveler from Kansas with 6 kids in our vehicle I was feeling pretty hopeless until I met the folks at Yellowstone imports. From that first handshake with [redacted], their service manager, I felt my family and I were in good hands. My feeling was right. Not only did they make sure we were able to get our camper to a nearby campground, we were offered rides to and from town. [redacted], and [redacted] went far beyond what I would expect from anyone with only the bottom line in mind.
First of all they made sure our problem was diagnosed and the part was on order ASAP. Since the breakdown was the result of a part still under warranty [redacted] took it upon himself to contact the other dealership and work out all the details. When I reached for the bill he shook my hand and wished us luck on the rest of our vacation. He even called a few days later to make sure everything was still going ok. Probably not necessary with Mechanics like [redacted] working there. A true professional with skills and mechanical understanding that is off the Charts.
If that wasn't enough the folks in the sales room, [redacted] and [redacted], bent over backwards to make sure we had a place to stay and all our transportations needs were taken care of. Even on their own time and at their own expense.
Bottom line up front: If I lived closer than 1500 miles away I would never even think about letting anyone but these people take care of my transportation or service needs. I dropped off a truck that was covered in oil and broken and a day later they gave me back a truck that was hand washed and 100% operational.
Thank you Yellowstone Imports for your courtesy, your professionalism and your honesty.
