Review: I called and spoke to the manager regarding a debt that obviously was not mine and told him to have it removed from my credit and he refused. I also asked if he could red flag my name and check for ID so this would not happen again and I asked how can I be sure you will not open an account in my name again? He said he cannot guarantee that it won't happen again and they don't require an ID to be presented to turn on service. I have never lived at [redacted] and I have never had a phone number of ###-###-####. The proof is also on Yellowstone County Property Tax Information website that I have never lived there. The account was opened March of 2013 and I have not lived in Montana for over six years. Yellowstone Valley Electric COOP has been very unwilling and unhelpful to this matter causing great detriment to me and my family. The manager will say he has a signature of mine on file, which he does from 1993 when I use to live in Montana on Bitterroot Dr. That does not give them the okay to open an account for just anyone at anytime with no ID. Please contact all three credit reporting agencies and have them delete it from my credit report.
