To Whom It May Concern,This is regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint # [redacted] [redacted] was interested in cancelling his Yext account because he was unaware his account was set up to renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date Once the account renewed, he cancelled it himself on so it would not renew again after his paid-through date, one year later in *** [redacted] called into our Support Team to stop the service immediately and receive a refund the nest day, on He spoke with a [redacted] t and was issued a pro-rated refund for all of the unused days of service left in his subscription *** [redacted] ’s account is now inactive and he has been refunded There is no further action for us to take here but if [redacted] has any questions we would be happy to discuss further.Thank you, [redacted] [redacted] - Yext

To Whom It May Concern, This is regarding Revdex.com Complaint ID # [redacted] [redacted] is seeing her home address displayed on business listings for her old business, which has been closed since I called [redacted] to talk about her situation and we were able to come to an understanding about how this all happened and where Yext fits inFirst, we were able to establish that [redacted] has never been a paying client of Yext, and as such, Yext does not have any of her business’s information and is therefore unable to provide it to any publisher websites Yext offers a solution for active businesses to manage their business listings by providing updated information to the listing that will display as long as the paid subscription is active However, since [redacted] ’s business is closed, we agreed that Yext is not the best solution for her In an attempt to help [redacted] correct or remove the misinformation, I e-mailed her a document that has contact information for the publishers we work with and some other notable data providers Lastly, I appreciated her feedback about the sales representative she spoke with and have passed it along through the proper channel I would also like to apologize for the frustration those sales calls may have caused In the end, I’m glad we were able to get on the phone and set the record straight and hopefully [redacted] is able to get her information corrected Thank you, [redacted] [redacted] ***

To Whom It May Concern,I would like to apologize for [redacted] ***’s frustrations regarding this situation At this point, I am trying my best to make sure his needs are met and that he is not contacted again by Yext I will no longer be corresponding with [redacted] over email and will only correspond through the Revdex.com complaint The phone number on his business’s website and his email, have already been added to our do not contact list to ensure he will not be contacted againLastly, I would also like to point out that [redacted] does not have a paid account with us so there is no way for Yext to have posted his home address or phone number on the internet As a paid service, Yext is only able to provide business information to publisher sites for our clients who have paid subscriptions If [redacted] needs anything else from Yext, he has our contact information We are more than willing to cooperate in any way that we can.Kind regards, [redacted] , Yext

To Whom It May Concern, This is regarding NYRevdex.com Complaint # [redacted] [redacted] was unaware that his Yext account was set on an automatically renewing payment schedule When the charge went through he contacted the Yext support team where he was offered a pro-rated refund for all of the unused service left in the new billing cycle [redacted] did not accept this pro-rated refund and opted to file a dispute with his credit card company Once the credit card company opened the dispute, [redacted] ’s account was cancelled so the dispute process could beginI called [redacted] when we received the Revdex.com complaint and spoke with him at length about how our service renewed Since he agreed to our terms and conditions, which state that the account will automatically renew unless cancelled, his account was renewed on schedule, thus charging the credit card on file While [redacted] was not happy with the few different ways he was notified about this renewal, we came to an understanding about why the account is set up in that way Yext was not trying to charge his credit card without his authorization, we simply have the accounts on an automatically renewing cycle in order to prevent disruption of service between billing cycles, which is in the best interest of his business listings If the service ends, Yext is no longer able to provide his business information to the publisher sites we partner with When that happens, the client no longer has direct control over the listings and the correct information Yext had been providing could be removed by the publisher site since the Yext account providing the data is no longer active Had [redacted] cancelled the account before the renewal date, he would not have been charged After speaking with [redacted] on the phone, he has still decided to part ways with Yext and we agreed to provide him with the full refund as a courtesy for his troubles and frustrationWe wish [redacted] the best of luck with managing his digital presence and we’re sorry that Yext wasn’t the best fit for his needs! Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I directly have been updating my info on these sites one by oneIf I am not on a site, it is because it is not used in my areaThey need to stop changing my information, listing incorrect addresses, and my phone # has not changed for yearsI have no idea wherthe old [redacted] number used on one outdated site is from, because they are calling to harass me on my correct business phone number I am changing my own listingI have to do it myself- You can't get blood from a turnup In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***

To Whom It May Concern: Thank you for your response The original email with the publisher contact information has been resent I believe there was an error which prevented it from sending the first time and I apologize for that.I would like to clear up some things about how the Yext service works to address [redacted] ’s example about Yext’s relationship with the publisher sites When an individual contacts a publisher site and gives them their business information it is a “manual submission.” Manual submissions are one way in which publisher sites gather information about businesses and a manual submission is not a guaranteed update because it may be trumped by another source’s data Publisher sites gather information by crawling other sites, other manual submissions, buying/leasing information from data aggregators, surveying government records, and many other ways These other sources are constantly competing to update listings Yext differs from this method by not using manual submissions When you pay for Yext, you are paying for the technology or software that allows Yext to send business information, along with other proprietary enhanced content, directly to the publisher sites through a feed This feed is constantly running which effectively creates a “lock” on the listing – blocking other sources from getting their content on the listings That way, when you pay for a subscription with Yext, you know that your business information will not be trumped by another data source Therefore, this software is much more effective than the “ten minutes” it would take to do a manual submission on each site, as the example statesLastly, I would like to touch on the relationship that Yext has with its partner publisher sites Some of these publishers have come to a decision to get their data from Yext Yext does not own any of the partner sites and this is not a decision that we have forced them to make Again, a user can try to manually submit his/her information to a data source that submits to these publishers, but there is no guarantee that the submission will update the listing given all of the competition I understand the frustration in being directed to pay to update a listing, but in this age, there are so many sources trying to contribute business information and publisher sites are moving away from free listings in an attempt to get trusted data Yext is simply one solution out of many for updating business information on publisher sites I completely understand that Yext may not the solution [redacted] is looking for and I wish [redacted] ’s business the best of luck with their digital presence management Thank you, [redacted] of Client Support - Yext

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.It was obvious the web information came through Yext, but they were not cooperative until recently to dig deep to find a third party provider used Yext to create the erroneous listingI am in contact now with the third part to update their information that is in error Sincerely, [redacted]
