Review: Jay K[redacted] stole $800 from me. In June 2014, I signed a contract with Jay K[redacted] and his production company YJA EBR Media & Marketing in Philadelphia on behalf of my company. The gentleman was referred to me by a reputable source. My husband and I spoke with Jay K[redacted] several times over the course of 3 - 4 weeks, prior to signing the agreement. During this time, Jay was responsive, initiating calls, returning calls the same day, and responding to all emails and text messages. In addition, to him producing my video blogs for my web series, he agreed to edit five videos to launch my one day workshop. I spoke with him on Wednesday, June 25th and our agreement was that he would complete the first draft of the workshop videos over the weekend, my team would provide feedback, and he would deliver the final videos by July 8, 2014. On June 27, he cashed the checks, $300 for the workshop videos and $500 was the first payment for the video blogs. After June 25th, Jay went MIA. I called, texted, and emailed him and he didn't respond until July 4th. At that time, he said he hadn't received the footage we sent to him the week of June 22. After two weeks, my partner and I thought he was editing the videos. He informed us that he hadn't received the footage, even though the footage had been sent. It was uploaded to [redacted] and available to for him to access, but he hadn't accepted the invitation link. I informed him that in order to continue working together, he would have to communicate. I also informed him he shouldn't have let two weeks pass without letting me know that he didn't receive the videos. For two days he communicated regularly via text, updating me on the work he said he was doing on our videos. The last text or communication I had with him was on July 9, 2014. He has not responded to my text, emails, and calls since then. On July 17, he sent me one of the videos (which was incomplete) and he hasn't responded with any form of communication. I have sent him several emails to terminate our agreement.Desired Settlement: For my desired settlement I request a FULL refund of $800 from Jay K[redacted] within 3 business days of him being notified of this complaint.
