They promote community care and having healthy family and child relationships -like they are all for family. They take your money for various programs and charges vary and sometimes there is no proper description- its all labeled member dues. Very disorganized with the child care for after school and camps with summer care etc... You will be billed randomly with no explanation. It is always a horrible process to sign up because of how disorganized they are- the people at the desk have random answers for why you are charged what you are charged- clearly they are not being trained well. You must fill out all new paperwork for childcare every single semester-vaccination records -everything. They tell you they can provide care for your child and take your money, at the eleventh hour they say they don't have enough kids sign up so they then cannot care for your child. If they promoted in a timely manner they would have enough children to sign up. This has been going on for sometime now, so parents can't trust that the Y will be there for them. They allowed young people to be hit and bullied this summer by another teen who was just there to play basketball. This particular teen cursed every other word at the children in summer camp and the staff. Yet this teen and his "squad" were allowed to stay. Not very Christian like. You can complain, they are very apologetic, but nothing changes, except the staff.
