We have reached out to the property manager and landlord by email twice (July 9th &16th) and have no response from their side. The property we are leasing from you on Plaza on 6th street the business has been suffering and these past few months have been incredibly difficult. The business is on the brink of closure and we simply cannot afford to operate the business. We have drained our savings and are near financial collapse at this point. We are reaching out to you to discuss terminating our lease. We have no money left to hire an attorney and would hope that we can reach a resolution with you directly. We have approximately a year left on our lease, but are hoping that you will take our security deposit (two months rent) and allow us to return the property to you in the ***e condition it was received in without any other recourse against us. We met back in November 2018 explaining the situation we were having since then your agent and our agent has tried to look for new tenants. Please note that we are coming to you as a last resort as we have tried to sell/lease the business for months without any success. As time is of the essence as you are aware because we have a family member who is ill in another country. Please keep in consideration that for the past 4 years that we have leased the property we have had a good positive tenant landlord relations. Thank you for taking time to consider our request.

I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for your response. We believe the offer was good. At this time we can not continue for the remainder of the lease due to our family members Illness as we stated previously. We are coming back to you in good faith with another proposal. We are hoping that you will take our security deposit which is equal to two months rent as previously offered, and in addition we can give another 1 month of rent. If you are in agreement, we will then vacate the property immediately and return it to you in the ***e condition it was received in. This will give you the opportunity of the space being paid for 90 days while you are securing a new tenant. In exchange, we would be released fully from the lease and you would seek no other recourse against us.Please note that we are coming to you as a last resort as we have tried to sell/lease the business for months without any success. Thank you for taking time to consider our request.
