In response to customer complaint:Customer placed Bride & Groom cake order on 4/22/17, for wedding date of 6/22/Customer ordered bride's cake,groom's cake which included two pictures of head of shark with different anglesBride stated,"both wedding cake and groom's cake were wrong in complaintThe fact is bride never complaint of brides cake only of groom's cake.She also stated, "the worst was the groom's cake which didn't look at all of what I paid for"First of all, the groom's cake and shark were much larger on pictures provided by them,then cake & fondant shark she ordered, which was a small 8" double layer cake with smaller shark figure.She originally, asked for a refund on the entire groom's cake order, not on fondant work as she stated.She did call a couple of times but manager either was of the clock or off that day.She called approxweek later and I, ***, answered phone and she said she wanted to speak with a manager regarding her wedding cake order.She stated to me that she wanted a full refund on groom's cake since it was not what they had ordered.I replied that in order for you to get a full refund, you need to return entire cake and fondant shark.She stated that she couldn't because they had to serve groom's cake to their guestsI replied than we cannot give you a full refund.She got upset and she said we are both marine biologists and that is not what we ordered on shark fondant work.I can provide pictures that customer provided with pictures we took at the wedding venue which show to be similar, upon Revdex.com request.By the way the person who took her wedding and groom's cake order is the same person that did fondant work knowing that this were very unique customers.We try our best to give some kind of reasonable compensation but not when we are cornered with a Revdex.com complaint & Facebook comments

We try to resolve any complaints but we cannot be responsible for what happens to the cake when it has left the store and is out of our control All cakes are shown to the customer before leaving the store for their approval We had dozens of cakes leave our store that day with no
complaints or incidentsOften times when the customer returns the same day we will make any necessary repairs at no additional charge

I am rejecting this response because: I picked up the cake late Saturday afternoon and took the cake to the party on SundayI sent an email with pictures the start of the next week and never received a return call from themEvery instant of communication was always initiated by myself never the businessEvery instant I spoke with the business I encountered rude comments as wellThe cake was poorly made and the customer service was beyond unacceptableI am still requesting a refund

I am rejecting this response because: I did not cornor this company with Facebook or Revdex.comI gave the company weeks to come to a solutionAfter calling days in a row on the third week, and each day being told that a manager would call the next day, I gave up trying to deal with the company, and made a complaint on Revdex.comYes the cakes might have been a different size in the images quoted for, but that is irrelevantThe size of the cake was satisfactoryYes, the wedding cake and grooms cake were not what was quoted forThe worst was the shark on the grooms cakeI ended up just asking for a refund on that portion ($125) after being told multiple times I would have to bring the cake back in. In the end, I would like an apology, and a refund on the shark fondant workAs a company, I feel that you should at least refund that portion due to the horrible customer service I have been experiencing.
