Review: my self and my daughter were going to start cosmetology school at york votech on August 25, 2014, I went to the business completed the application and paid 25$ application fee for both of us in the second week of august 2014. On august 18th 2014 my daughter received a phone call from votech stating the class for cosmetology was rescheduled to January 2015. I contacted the school spoke to the secretary, she told me I could not get my application fee back because it was non refundable. I then ask to speak to a higher person. I spoke to Dr. S[redacted], he agreed to return my money after awhile of me explaining to him it was not my fault we could not start because his school cancelled the classes. He stated I could drop the receipt off for the deposit, it could also take 30 days for me to receive my refund back. I dropped a copy of the receipt off on August 29, 2014. I then called the school on 09/25/2014 to see if the check had been processed. I was told the check had been mailed out to me on August 29, 2014. I never received the check so the school said the would have to check with the bank and would get back to me. I contacted them again on 09/29/2014 to ask when my check would be available a woman named Arlen told me she hoped she would have it available by 10/3/2014 or no later than 10/06/2014. I called the school on Monday 10/06/2014 spoke to Dr. S[redacted], he told me that Arlen had the check ready for me but he did not know where it was. He also said she was out of the office because her father died so he can not tell me at the time where the check is.Desired Settlement: My refund.
