York furniture never told me at the time I stopped in with the material sample March 7, [which was the same material I showed them for my original order that arrived wrong] nor called me to inform me that my replacement order would not be processed until they had enough orders being placed with ***They have been less then forthcoming on all issues past and presentPlease note my original order was placed on my birthday 10/12/and the recliner didn't arrive till 2/13/15, that is four monthsI will not drop my complaint until a recliner with the correct color material and nail heads arrives at my home and passes inspectionIt's been one month so far since York placed the order with *** Let's see how long it takes this order to arrive

several factors that can affect the manufacturer that we cannot control We did receive the order in at 10 weeks. It was received on the 18th and we did deliver it the very next day on the 19th. The couch is fully warrantied and the customer does have deferred interest, no interest for 12 months which began when the couch was delivered, not when the couch was ordered. The first payment is what they received a notice for as there are minimum monthly payments that must be made.

That's ridiculous...  Now it's going to take several more months to order more parts I'm assuming.  When they obviously were just looking for a sale and didn't care about the customer.  All I want is my money back...  I am done...   What has to be done to get my money back and get this recliner out of my house?  Please....

Revdex.com did speak to Sandy and Tony at the business and the following was relayed: When ordering from [redacted] we have to build an order or else the delivery cost would be to expensive. On March 23rd, that is when we had enough pieces for an order to be placed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The business response is incorrect and false. The manager contacted me as if there had been no conversations and conflict 2 weeks ago. He called after I made it clear I did not want the couch as per the agreement from the salesperson was sale would not be final until my husband came to see couch. He was aware of Revdex.com complaint and that the credit card charge was disputed. Two weeks later he called and said that fabric order was not noted and for me to call to order, this was almost one month after order was placed. I returned call and reiterated once again that I did not want couch and as it had not been ordered I did not see what the problem was and he agreed order would not be placed. So it is a surprise to me to see his response. The sales person I worked with was professional, flexible and customer sensitive and due to the agreement he made with me was fired!!!! So my understanding is the matter is resolved and couch was not ordered as originally agreed. My experiences with York was horrible. I would not recommend them under any circumstance.

Although a repair was made to the chair, it was not the repair we were told it would be.  We were told by Tony at York he would order a new seat from [redacted] to make the repair.  I called numerous times to check on the status of the new seat being ordered and no one would call me back.  This went on for 6 weeks. Then we file a report to Revdex.com and suddenly York is willing to talk to me.  The repairman showed up with a spring only, no seat.  Yes, the repair order was signed by me so the repairman could submit for his billing.  But bottom line is the repair was not completed the way we were told it would be.  I am not satisfied with the repair or York's customer service.

Revdex.com received the following message from Larry at business in response to complaint: We serviced the customer under the warranty and she was fine. We cannot give her a new sofa after a year and a half. We are giving her a courtesy service again and we do have some parts on order to come in for her.

The representatives of York Furniture Gallery, Larry and [redacted], apparently don't remember what our problem was with the furniture. The problem is not that the furniture is too large. The problem is that the wood is distressed, and the page we were shown in the manufacturer's catalog did not show this or state that it was distressed wood. The second portion of our complaint addressed the behavior of [redacted] towards us when we tried to discuss the matter with him. His behavior was threatening, unreasonable, and rude. My requested resolution remains as stated in the original complaint, an apology and full reimbursement for the furniture. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Business is contacting manufacturer regarding an additional discount and will schedule delivery once that is known and relayed to consumer.

Revdex.com spoke to Tony at business and the following was relayed: The actual part needed and ordered is called the seat spring. The spring was making a noise, it was replaced. I am unaware that there is anything currently wrong with the seat. Revdex.com is asking consumer to state specific issue, if any, that remains with the seat/chair.

Mr. [redacted] was delivered on 11/5/14 and as far as we know at this time, he is satisfied!  Our orders, whether custom orders or not states 4 – 16 weeks delivery time to our warehouse. He was delivered within his order date time of 9/16/14.  We received his product in our warehouse on...

In response to Mr. B.'s note:  I NEVER called York Furniture with a service request and I NEVER agreed to a repair. (I have forwarded many of the e mails that have been exchanged) I'm not sure where Mr. B. thinks that I called with a service request. I called while the delivery men were still at my house because I noticed a defect immediately and told them that I would not accept the furniture. The delivery men instructed me to call the office which I did. I was told to keep the sectional and a new one would be ordered. The sectional has a manufacture defect and should be returned to the manufacture! (you should have pictures that I sent) It looks nothing like the floor model. On several occasions I asked Larry to come to my home to look at the sectional and he never bothered to do that. I told him to pick a time and I would leave work to meet him any time that was convenient to him. Customer service / customer satisfaction is clearly not important to Mr. B. at all! At this time, I am not interested in doing business with York Furniture, I am requesting that they pick up the sectional and give me a full refund.Please let me know what to expect so that I can move forward this issue. I will be contacting the Attorney General's office, and our local Television station.
