York Risk Services bought the company I worked for, The Risk Management Planning Group, in 2017. The prior company I worked at for 25+ years. I had to take FMLA in July 1st 2017 as my mother was passing away. I applied for same....was told it was accepted. I received a call on August 28th 2017 telling me that I in fact wasn’t approved because I didn’t have enough time which is literally impossible as I’ve worked for the company for over 25 years, never took FMLA before, only filed for disability benefits in 2005 when my son was born. They considered me as “abandoning my job” and fought unemployment benefits, leaving me homeless and without a job to return to.
This has ruined my life.

I was driving for *** and was rear-ended by a hit and run driver. Fortunately, the police caught the offender within 30 minutes of the accident. The driver was uninsured so I had to file a claim through ***'s insurance. The accident was on October 28th, 2018 and as of today I still do not have my car back for repairs that the insurance company estimated would take 6 working days to complete. Initially the company provided a very low estimate on damages and told me to pay for it myself as there assessment was under the deductible. The collision center tried multiple times to file a supplemental and multiple times the insurance company claimed nothing was submitted. While on a three-way call with the insurance company and collision center I was informed a separate company handles supplementals. It tooks weeks for York to tell us that supplementals had to be filed there, and not with the adjuster handling the claim. In the meantime, the adjuster never informed myself or the garage of this. Call back or e-mail responses from the adjuster took days. So while the insurance company repeatedly failed to do their job in an efficient manner I was stuck paying expensive rental car costs which totaled over $1000 until I was able to borrow a car from family. After about 7 weeks York finally approved the claim, but the check still hasn't arrived and when asked about it they could not provide a tracking number. Once finally approved the garage finished repairs quickly, and yet I can not pick my car up until they receive their check. This Saturday will mark a full 8 weeks!

The complainants repair shop did not respond to the supplement request until November 20, 2018 and still did not send over all of the required documents. All of the required documents and the tow bill were not sent over from the shop until December 13, 2018. Resulting in a significant delay in the complainants claim not being resolved until December 14, 2018 when the supplement was finalized and payment was issued the following business day December 17, 2018. Complainant confirmed receipt of payment confirmation on December 28, 2018 and the claim has since been closed.

I am rejecting this response because:

The collision shop repeatedly sent documentation over prior to November 20th. It wasn't until a three-way call with York, myself, and the TAG Towing & Collision (TAG) that we were informed that the supplemental information needed to be sent directly to York's subcontractor Snapsheet. York asked that the supplemental be sent in, but never offered up the information as to where to send it to. According to Brian, at TAG, he was sending documentation to an agent at York, but it was never forwarded on , nor was TAG notified to send that information elsewhere until that threeway call.

I maintain that York intentionally dragged it's feet on this matter in order to avoid paying the claim and that this intentional delay cost me thousands of dollars in rental costs. I would ask York to provide documentation of every interaction they had with TAG if they intend to clear their name of this.

I have been trying to get an understanding all how my payments will be coming out I also have been trying to get bills pay that's coming in my name that you should be paying for I have been trying to get my medication a dress and is still hasn't been addressed in the issues I just palling up making my eyes Injury get worse

My communication has primarily been with a *** claims rep/or Adjuster with York Risk Services Group in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The first problem was getting my vehicle appraised for damages. That took about two weeks. My second problem is that after my car had been appraised I received no information or hard copy of the appraisal, which is required before you can start repairs for the vehicle. Ms. was contacted on several ocasions by me and the Auto Repair Shop, requesting documentation. This took a couple weeks. And my third issue, is that I have called Ms. on several occasions once again requesting information that would be vital for a rental car while my car is being repaired. No responses to this date it now November 16tih my car is not being repaired on put in the shop until I have transportation back and forth to work. This has been a nightmare to no fault of my own. The Customer Service at York is horrible and pray never that this should to anyone. I want my car repaired and transportation until my repaired. NoteDate of the Accident was 10/10/17.

On 9/2/17 I was in an accident that was not my fault, per the police and multiple witnesses. York handles claims for *** so I contacted them a few days later and was told it would be handled within a few days as all that needed to happen was just confirm with the police or witnesses that it was the other parties error. I have heard nothing for over three weeks now and my emails have not been returned nor my calls answered. As a law student *** is how I make money since I got to school full time. This is causing me a great hardship. They should have sent a report to *** three weeks ago but have not. This is unacceptable
