I am rejecting this response because: the business is only going to monitor this for weekswe have not had consistent service from york waste since we want what we have paid for which is regular trash pick upyork waste states that they have had the same drivers on this route for year yet are service has not been consistent for months let alone year.

2/18/14 Customer Service Manager and Operation Supervisor reviewed service history.  A -$53.55 credit has been applied to **. [redacted]. A couple of operational concerns will be addressed on our part to resolve the issue with sporadic service.

There was a change in drivers about a year ago. Drivers are now the regular weekly route drivers. Most recent delay has been weather related.
Route notes have been added to route sheets stating [redacted], PA is the last house in [redacted] Twp.
Driver notes have also been added for both trash and recycle driver to call Operation Supervisor while onsite for next three weeks to assure both drivers confirm pickup.  
We sincerely apologize for the  inconsistant service. Once we get through this week and the current weather situation, service will be on a regular weekly schedule for both trash and recycle. Review: Over the past 10 months since I've moved to [redacted], Pennslyvania, I have had numerous problems with this company. Once I purchased my home in [redacted], Pa. I set up an account with York Waste (now [redacted]). I have always paid my bill and the full amount that is owed. I constantly have problems with my trash not being picked up. [redacted] Borough has a policy that trash cannot sit outside for more than 12 hours at a time. They also have a contract that the ONLY service provider or trash collection company that is allowed to service [redacted] is York Waste, so I cannot chose another company. The company is well aware of this problem; as I speak with a service representative atleast twice a month. They have made minor attempts to correct the problem; however they have all been temporary. They told me I should drag my trash to a different street because the trash truck doesn't come down my street; I tried that for 2 weeks however the neighbor was upset that I was putting my trash outside of their house. There was a period of approx. 2 months that I didn't have the time to continue to call the company and leave a message with no call back to get someone to come pick up my trash, and I didn't want to get in trouble with my borough for continuing to leave it out, so I had to take the trash to my work to dispose of it. The company does give me discounts and credits for the weeks they don't come and service at all, and for the inconvience, however the problem itself as to why the trash doesn't get picked up unless I call and complain still has not been resolved. I feel like the company is holding a grudge against me when I do call and complain, because on the occasions someone does come pick up my trash (usually a day or more late), my trash can is always thrown in the street, it is beat up and cracked, and there have been times I find trash thrown in my yard. The most recent I have found was broken glass all in the alley near my house and trash (which was not mine) slung all over the road also. I drove over the glass not knowing it was there and spent half an hour cleaning it up. At this point, I had to take the matter to the Borough Council [redacted] because I need this issue resolved. She says she is working on helping me get the issue resolved, however I still must adhere to the rules of the Borough which is that I cannot use another trash company for service, and my trash cannot sit out more than 12 hours. I am at a loss, because I put my trash out the night before, an I have no idea when or IF they are going to come the next day on Wednesday. When they don't come, I am in violation due to not getting home from work until 5pm or even later and at that point the trash has been sitting out past the 12 hour mark.Desired Settlement: The small adjustments on my bill are appreciated, and expected due to payment of a service that doesn't get done consistently. What I would like to happen is for my trash to be picked up. For me to pay for the services, and the services to be completed, on a regular basis without the time, energy, and hassle of going through things like this. Without hearing excuse after excuse every week; sometimes the reps tell me that I didn't have my trash out, sometimes they tell me the truck couldn't fit down my street, sometimes they tell me there was a guy on vacation and the replacement didn't know where my house was, etc. etc. I also believe that if I am being forced to work with this company, without any other options in the area, that I should be credited a full quarter of trash services. I have only been with this company for a year, and within that year-maybe approx. 8 weeks spuratically through out this time my trash has been picked up; on time, without me calling. The rest of the times I've had to call continuously and wait, sometimes up to 4 days for someone to come out, or had to dispose of the trash myself in a dumpster at work by getting permission from my manager. I have tried to go through the company, I have tried to go through my Borough Concil, and I am now trying to go through the Better Business Borough as to get this issue resolved for good.

ON 8/8/13 @ 11:20 am before receiving this complaint. I, [redacted]\Customer Service Manager spoke with both [redacted], Borough Manager for [redacted] and [redacted] to provide service resolution.

Operations Supervisor has instructed both Trash and Recycle driver to walk down to this address [redacted] to retrieve trash and recycle. Truck is unable to safely be driven down the alley.

Regular Trash route driver was scheduled off 8/7/13 and fill in driver was not aware of the special instructions. Service request has been enter to retrieve the trash

Regualar Recycle driver called in that Recycle was not out yesterday and [redacted] confirmed that when I spoke with her @ 11:28am 8/8/13

Modified route note have been added to both driver's route sheets with specific instructions to now call their Supervisor upon completion of weekly service at this specific address, to avoid future oversights

A -$63.79(full quarterly billing rate) credit has been applied to this account. Next quarterly billing of Oct-Nov-Dec will now be prepaid.

Review: since 2009 township ordinance has required all residents with garbage disposal to use only york waste co. since taking over as my trash hauler york waste service has been spotty some times garbage is picked up but not rcyclables other times recyclables and not trash other times nothing at all. I have had to contact township manager since the beggining to get any response from company contacting york waste yields no results. at times inclement weather is the cause which is understandable yet this is an ongoing problem even in good weather. at times they have been through and collected trash from residences in the area and not picked up others instead turning around at jennifer lane, which is a quarter of a mile up the road from my residence, and leave the area without providing service. at that intersection there are two customers within twenty - five yards whose containers are curbside and plainly visible. this has been an ongoing problem and due to township ordinance we are unable to contract with another companyDesired Settlement: york waste should be held responsible for failure to meet contractural obligation.

I am rejecting this response because: the business is only going to monitor this for 3 weeks. we have not had consistent service from york waste since 2009. we want what we have paid for which is regular trash pick up. york waste states that they have had the same drivers on this route for 1 year yet are service has not been consistent for 6 months let alone 1 year.
