Empathize
Operate with integrity and ethics
Sold you a healthy socialized puppy in which your veterinarian confirms
No Breeder guarantees size or height. Those are estimates based on a growth chart. Only God or a scientist skilled in cloning can guarantee a size of a living animal. Our puppies are sold as pet quality
Picture of Teacup, Standard
Not our intention to mislead and we now only state current weight and age of puppy
Description of micro teacup, teacup, Standard
Feeding guidelines, her email
Corrective action doing business sign no guarantee
Company policy is clearly stated on website
We emphasized the importance of proper feeding which you agreed that we did in the attached email. If you over feed the puppy it will gain weight and weigh more than the growth chart predicts.
Other puppies in his litter who followed the feeding guideline are currently 2lbs or less
Pictures and statements are attached
You failed to follow our recommended instructions for feeding and veterinarian follow-up. You also sent a false email stating the puppy was 2.5lbs when it went home. In the picture you sent of the puppy with it’s Water and food bowl pictured those are not the proper sized bowls for a Yorkie. We provided your proper sized bowls that will help your puppy stay in range and you failed to utilize them.
Although we understand your disappointment, your puppy’s growth spurt is a direct correlation of you not following our instructions.
No money will be refunded however we will provide you a book on dog weight loss and an automatic feeder
You have admitted that you haven’t followed the recommended feeding guidelines because you don’t understand the correlation in over feeding a dog and the dog gaining weight.
You are responsible for ensuring your puppy do not consume human food, doesn’t eat other animals in your home good, and that his food is measured. Obesity in animals can cause future health risks that we are not responsible for.

Yorkies of Houston sold a puppy to the complainant on January 26, 2018. The complainant contacted Yorkies of Houston on March 12, 2018 saying her puppy weighed 3.5lbs. The puppy weighed 1lb on January 27, 2018. Pictures attached shows puppy size the day before the puppy left our premises. There is...

also a picture tatted of the entire litter. The puppy the complainant purchased is in the far left of the group photo in the purse. Yorkies of Houston has reached out to the complainant and have quickly responded to her concerns.
Yorkies of Houston has taken every care with breeding, rearing and the welfare of the purchased dog. The dog was believed to be in good health and was sold in good faith. For the protection of the buyer and seller, the buyer was instructed to take her dog to a licensed veterinarian to have the puppy examined the puppy 48 hours of purchase at the buyer’s expense. Failure to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within the 48 hour of the sale time frame will void the guarantee. If the licensed veterinarian finds health problems or defects excluding Coccidiosis, Giardiasis, worms, or ear mites, hernias, hypoglycemia, double set of teeth, and luxating patella the buyer may return the puppy to me with a signed statement on letterhead from a licensed veterinarian stating the diagnosis. All arrangements must be made within 48 hours from time of sale. The complainant failed to have the puppy examined. The complainant also failed to stay on schedule with the puppy's required vaccinations.
No guarantee is given to size, color, hair type, temperament, personality, behavior, show ability, or standards of the breed, breeding capabilities, nor do we guarantee against a double set of teeth, ears to stand, or loose knees (luxating patella). The puppy’s adult weight is only an estimate based on the puppy's birthweight and Yorkshire Terrier growth chart. Furthermore, it is agreed that the seller is not responsible for any diseases or parasites, which may be transmitted from this puppy to humans or other animals.
Our guarantee does not cover abuse or neglect by the buyer. No reimbursement will be made if the buyer does not have the puppy examined in the 48 hour window and follow the strict vaccination schedule. It is further agreed that the buyer will care for the puppy in a manner recommended by the seller. The seller is not responsible for the buyer's financing contract with My Pet Funding.
Responsibility is of the purchaser except as specified above, once the puppy leaves the premises. Upon leaving the premises, the puppy becomes the responsibility of the buyer. Under no circumstances will the seller assume any financial responsibility for any vet bills. All medical expenses including the exam and any medications will be the responsibility of the buyer.
The complainant visited the retail pet store in which the seller, buyer, and the puppy was present for the buyer to physically examine and observe the puppy before purchasing and taking custody of the puppy. By personally examining the puppy, the buyer is exercising public oversight over the animal and helped ensure its health, weight, size, and humane treatment. That the Puppy is a living creature with interests independent of both Buyer and Seller.
The complainant was provided with a one on one in-person training on hoe to properly feed her puppy, an electronic puppy care guide, a 4lb bag of premium dog food with feeding guidelines printed on the bag for the puppy's age and weight, appropriately sized food bowls. Once the puppy leaves our premises we are not responsible because we can't govern if the complainant followed the guidelines in properly feeding the puppy and ensuring the puppy didn't consume other animals food in her home or human food.
The complainant also emailed us pictures of a dog that didn't resemble the dog sold to her. No refund will be given.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
Business states that I admitted that I wasn't following the proper feeding guidelines? All my communications have been via email, so I would like to see in writing where I specifically state that I admit to something like this.
In the last email the only thing I admitted to is not asking more questions as a consumer, and the main question would have been being if there was any chance the puppy can grow more than expected.
Business owner stated that she video recorded the visit where she explained the feeding guidelines, which I had no idea I was being recorded. The fact that she video records sessions without the customer’s knowledge makes me wonder the business owner’s ethics.
If that recording does exist, it will clearly show where I specially asked her how big and how much the puppy would weigh once fully grown. She stated 2-3 lbs. and would not grow much larger than what he was at that time.
Business owner states that I provided a false statement saying that the puppy weighed 2.50 lbs. when I got him. To answer that , I weighed him a couple of days of getting him because I was curios if he weighed less than a 1lb. She stated on her website that he was 15oz and now states that he was 1lb when she sold him to me. I do not have a printout of the web advertisement to show this since I never thought I would have an issue.
It is clear that we are not coming to any type of agreement. She insists that the problem is the feeding, which I don’t understand how over feeding a dog can make him grow taller. In that case he would just be overweight. I already took him to the Vet and was told that he has a healthy weight for his size so he is not obese.
I do agree that a person cannot predict what size a puppy can grow up to be, and that is why, in my opinion, the business owner should provide this information in writing so that way there is no misunderstanding or surprises, and this also protects a business owner of any complaints for not providing a full disclosure.
I am tired of going back and forth with this issue. I feel that money is above the customer’s concerns because she keeps on fighting and giving reason after reason why she will not issue a refund and blaming me for the puppy getting taller than expected.
I consider this matter as not being resolved. And based on all the communications, this will not be resolved ever.Regards,
