I am writing this letter as response to the complaint filed by [redacted]. First of all, we try to be as empathetic as possible to our clients and their loved family members, especially at such a difficult time as Mr. [redacted] and their family. I personally had a long telephone...

conversation with him regarding this particular complaint, and I acknowledge the concern he has brought up. We are not a veterinary hospital just as a business, but because we have a love and passion for this incredibly noble profession, and being compassionate and respectful of our clients' wishes stands at the core of this philosophy. I have personally looked at all the aspects of this complaint and talked with both the parties involved and it was infact found out that the vet tech did talk in a way that is not acceptable, and not just in this scenario, but on a routine basis as well. We had to take some internal action after reprimanding him for this. At the same time, what I want to bring to your notice is the fact that none of the staff members were falsifying any information as to when the ashes would be back. Since the visit was done on a wednesday, the pick up is scheduled on a Tuesday and hence that took 1 whole week. After that, we usually receive the urn's back in 1-2 weeks depending on how backed up the concerned company gets. And I personally made sure that Mr [redacted] was called as soon as we received their beloved Beau back. Regarding the resolution of this dispute, since the visit was done as a house call at their residence, involved administration of controlled drugs, and the services they chose do carry a hefty charge. Having all that in mind, I would like to offer them a refund to the amount of $200 as a sincere token of courtesy for the emotional inconvenience they had to endure. In the end, I would like this opportunity to once again stress that our clients and our patients remain at the core of our practice, and any time something falls short of our clients' expectations, we try our best to make them whole as much as possible. We are running a business, but this business is driven by love and compassion, and I hope we can reach a conclusion that ends on a positive for all involved.Thanks a lot,[redacted]
