I recently hired Young Electric to do numerous repairs and electric upgrades to my home and while I was satisfied with the work that was performed, I am not satisfied with how they bill their clientsWhen I called to setup the appointment, I was told they billed $for the first hour and $for each hour after thatAwesome, I asked them to please send someone outOn the day of my appointment, they arrived minutes late with guysOnly minutes after their arrival when the work had just started, they took off for an hour lunchI didn't mind this at first as long the work got done until I received my billThe guys spent no more than hours total at my home, but I was billed for a full hours for each of the guys (hours total)The $an hour rate I was quoted over the phone is billed *per person*This detail was not explained when I scheduled the appointment, nor was it clear how many workers would be showing upWhat I thought would be a $bill was in fact over $I also called and asked how they arrived at hours of billed time instead of the hours they actually spent at my homeThey said they also billed for "drive time" since they were located in Huntington and my home was in Fort WayneIf you are going to bill clients extra just for traveling to them, this needs to be disclosed up front, especially at such a steep hourly rateBilling $an hour driving to a client is unacceptableI will hire locally in Fort Wayne next time if that is the caseTheir drive time plus the hour lunch I was also billed for is nearly $in billed time that they did not spend doing the actual job I hired them forIn retrospect, had I known I was actually being billed $an hour, I would have asked them to be a lot more prompt in getting the work doneOverall, very dissatisfied with what I was billedI have more work to be done at my home, but I will be looking elsewhere going forward

Very positive experience with 2 of their employees. Prompt in their arrival time. Very professional. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Competitive rates.
