For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI am not satisfied due to the fact that I do not agree with the response of Mr***Initially, I was only asked if I was certain of the problem and I verified I was He guaranteed the speedometer to work and when it did not work when installed on my car, he could not prove it was not defectiveHe did guarantee me a full refund if I brought in proof from an authorized Volvo dealer that the DIM aka speedometer was the problem I did everything requested for the full refund promisedThe local mechanic spoken about is not a Volvo authorized mechanic but the diagnostic report I produced to Mr*** wasRegardless, I believe when a business offers a full refund with specific terms and those terms have been met; the business should fulfill their obligation of honoring their wordI also believe they should act in a positive manner when serving the public; Anything less is not acceptable.

As I stated in my previous responseWe sold her a speedometer for her volvoThis part was checked before it was shipped to usShe installed it and it did not fix her problemI'm sorry she bought something she did not need, however that was explained to her in detail before the part was ordered for her

[redacted]'s Auto did order a speedometer per Mrs. [redacted]'s request. Before the order was made, it was explained to her that there was no warranty on electrical parts. With that being said, I ordered the part and requested that the speedometer be tested by starting and checking gauges before it was sent to us. When she picked up the part the question was brought up again about the warranty. Again, she was informed about electrical warranty particularly for test purposes. A few weeks later she came in and wanted to return the part because she stated it was defective. I explained again about the warranty. In an effort to have good customer service I told her that if she could prove it was defective I would try and send it back less the shipping. After she left I called the mechanic who worked on the vehicle to verify her story. He informed me that the speedometer did not light up in her car and the had sent hers off for a rebuild and it did not work either, so they ordered some computer modules and the speedo still did not work. Although we feel its unfortunate the part Mrs. [redacted] purchased did not fix her problem in no way do we feel it is our problem.

I do not agree with the response from the business regarding this sales experience and service received. I did everything requested and provided documentation requested for a full refund.
