On [redacted] 2015, The owner broke the law when she refused to give me my receipt upon request for purchase of six (6) packs of "Model Model 'Glance' Yaky Pony (color 2)". I was charged [redacted] for each pack. When I approached the counter to complete my purchase, I asked "Would I be entitled to a discount if I pay cash?", to which the female proprietor stated "I'll give only this time" and charged me [redacted] I gave the proprietor a [redacted] bill and a [redacted] bill. When I received [redacted] back in change, I asked for a receipt of my purchase, to which the female proprietor stated "I can't give you a receipt, honey". She then printed the store receipt and threw it in the trash behind her. This transaction occurred between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm.I left the store with the merchandise. This proprietor broke the law under the provisions of [redacted] She denied my right to receive a proof of purchase. I noticed that the prices were not clearly marked on ANY of the store's merchandise. It's possible that this proprietor can quote different prices to customers at will.I also noticed that Refund, Return and Cancellation policies were not clearly displayed as required by law. As stated on [redacted] website: [redacted] law requires that a merchant clearly and conspicuously disclose the store's refund, return, or cancellation policy. A merchant cannot misrepresent the store's policy or fail to honor it. Generally, clear and conspicuous disclosure means that the merchant must display a written return policy that the buyer can see and understand before the purchase is made. As long as the product is not defective, a merchant can choose any return policy, provided the merchant discloses this policy to the buyer before the purchase. Stating the policy on the receipt would not satisfy this disclosure requirement, because it is not provided until after.."Product_Or_Service: Model Model "Glance" Yaky Pony (color 2)Desired SettlementI want the following:1. This business to be cited according to law for denying me the right to receive a receipt as proof of purchase on [redacted] 2. This business to receive the maximum fine punishable by state law for refusing to give me a receipt upon request. 3. I seek to be fully refunded for my purchase. I will gladly send back the merchandise to the proprietor. I want the proprietor to also pay for all costs associated with my original purchase of [redacted] the 30-day demand letter.Business Response We have received your letter and have seriously considered the ideas that you have brought forth. Let us first start off by apologizing that your experience with our company was not a satisfactory one; that was truly not our goal. By bringing your concerns to our attention we will try our best to address them so that in the future other customers do not have the same experience. Most of our bulk items are not individually priced, but will have a posted price. Proof of purchase will be given especially when requested. Our store policy will be clearly visible. Although our policy is to not accept exchanges or returns on any hair extensions, in good faith we will provide you with the merchandise refund and postage fees that you have requested. The merchandise will then be donated to the local safe haven house for women of domestic violence that our establishment fully supports.One of our missions at the Beauty Supply is for people of all ethnicities to feel beautiful with our products. We will continue to strive for this mission and will take your suggestions to heart. Consumer Response Ms. Yung informed me on Monday, [redacted] 2015 that she will mail a check in the amount of [redacted] to my [redacted] XXXXX. To date, I have not received the check from Ms. Yung. I cannot accept the response from Young's Beauty Supply until: 1. I receive payment of [redacted] for the merchandise plus [redacted] for mailing of the demand letter). 2. Ms. Yung's check is cleared by my local financial institution. I will not accept the response if I do not receive the check by Monday, [redacted] 2015.
