Youngsville Event Rentals did not provide the rental items we purchased. No returned calls and no refunds were offered.I hired Youngsville Event Rental ([redacted] Sr.) for rental items needed for my daughter's wedding. After learning from other bride's (31 total) that he has taken everyone's money and left town, I tried to reach him / anyone at the company for a refund request. no phone calls or emails were returned. No money is refunded. I understand that he did this to "Chapel in the Woods" venue in Louisburg, as well as 30+ other brides in the area. He did not cancel our orders, he did not contact us to disclose that he was closing or could not fulfill services we paid for. Instead, I learned through word of mouth. The date of our event came and went with no word or apology from Youngsville Event Rental or staff. Nothing. Thankfully, we hired another rental company prior to our event or this could have been even worse.Desired SettlementYoungsville Event Rental should provide customer refunds

After paying vendor $510 for rental equipment, they canceled on us 2 days before our wedding. Contacted the vendor in February about renting 100 chairs, 2-8 qt. chafers, 4 cocktail tables, 1 champagne fountain, 5 tablecloths, 2 white columns and 8 shepherd hooks for my wedding that took place on Sept 26, 2015. The invoice came to a total of $643 which included delivery, pick up, setup & take down. Although it was not due until the week before the event, we gave the vendor a deposit in February in the amount of $60. Another payment ($50) was paid in April 2015 and another ($400) paid in July 2015. As the wedding date became closer, I requested of the owner ([redacted]); on several occasions to schedule a time for us to do a walk through so they will know where and how to setup the rental equipment. Unfortunately, because he claimed to be so busy, we never met to do a walk through. We spoke on several occasions; almost twice a month. After speaking that often to make changes to the invoice or confirm things gave me no reason to think that the vendor would not deliver for my wedding. I had no idea he would stand me up on my wedding day. The vendor ([redacted]) sends me a text the morning of my wedding 9/26/15 and told me that he canceled my invoice and had issued a refund. Til this day, the vendor has not answered my calls. However, he did answer to the dummy email that I sent to him. Today, I am still waiting on my refund $510! Desired SettlementI am seeking my full refund of $510. The invoice was canceled by the vendor but we still do not know why. He never sent an updated invoice or scheduled a walk through for equipment delivery. After doing further research, I saw that my initial invoice stated a payment policy: 10% down due 7 days before the event. By July 2015 (2 months before the event), we had paid the vendor a total of $510. So we are expecting a FULL REFUND.Business Response The customer did not pay the balance a week before as contract stated. The customer also wanted to cancel half of the rental because of rain. Since she refused to pay the balance the order was cancelled. This was challenged through [redacted]. We won the case. She then procedded to file complaints through Revdex.com, [redacted], The credit card company & a few other organizations. We told the credit card company to issue a refund we do not have hours to waste filing out paper work again and again.We are filing a civil lawsuit for defamation . Consumer Response We spoke with the vendor (very briefly as he was sooo "busy") the Monday before the event to set up a walk-through. At that time, he already had 95% of the balance. I have emails where I requested an updated balance along with a request to reduce the chair count from 100 to 80 (hardly sounds like half of the order that he is saying that we wanted to cancel). Also, this was my WEDDING day and they already had $510 of my money, what bride/customer would play around with this matter??My invoice stated the following: "Note from Youngsville Event Rental 10% down due 7 days before the event. must confirm deliver and pick up times.We have set-up & break down services for you event it would cost an extra $75 let us know if you would be interest in it."We were waiting on him to send an updated invoice balance after reducing the chair count but we never got it! Also, this type of case was not covered under the [redacted] policy. Per their response: "Dear [redacted], After further review of the claim you filed against Youngsville Event Rental, we have determined the issue you have described or the merchandise or service associated with this transaction is not covered by [redacted] Purchase Protection. As a result, this case has been closed and we're unable to take any further action."Filing a civil lawsuit for defamation would be irrelevant as this company has already defamed their own character. Businesses these days are not genuine as they should be. They rob their customers. Although he tried to ruin my wedding day, he didn't! Youngsville Event Rental has POOR business practices!! Take a class!

Youngsville Event Rental went out of business and hasn't yet issued a refund to me.According to their [redacted] page, they've been out of business since the beginning of May, but no one at their email address or phone number has responded to my multiple requests to refund to my deposit/payment of $218 for 65 rental chairs for an event on October 1, 2016. Desired SettlementI would like a refund of $218.

The website is gone, the phone number is disconnected, the email address is discontinued, and they are virtually non-existent. Now I have no vendor 2-months out from my wedding. And I lost $380 on a business without the decency to contact their clients.Desired Settlement$380.
