Your Administrative Solutions

I was hired by the owner, as an independent contractor, to do bookkeeping data input work for "Your Administrative Solutions". I did 26 hrs work at $10/hr during the months of February, March, and April of 2015. As of June 29, I still have not received a check even after numerous e-mail requests and a certified letter requesting payment of the money I am owed. As an accounting, bookkeeping online business, one would assume that their hired contractors would be paid as agreed upon. If this business cannot pay it's own employees, how can one expect that it will take care of a customer's books and accounts.
