To Whom It May Concern:

My name is *** ***, I oversee guest relations for Kabuki RestaurantsI received a letter from the Revdex.com that was originally sent to our Glendale restaurant on April 19, 2014. The General Manager, ***, and two bartenders (*** and ***) each wrote their own testimonials based on the incident that occurred on April 18, (All letters can be reviewed below, as well as attachments that include the original receipts signed by the guest and our own hard copies.)
We would like to express our sincere apologies on behalf of our employees who were ultimately unable to provide a level of service that is consistent with our highest standardsWe would like to assure the Revdex.com and Ms*** that proper re-training efforts will be made to ensure improvement regarding the issues that were mentioned in her letterWe would also like to reiterate that our management took the proper steps in attempting to rectify the incident at the time, but Ms***’s use of profanity and inappropriate behavior made such efforts very challenging and difficult, as surrounding patrons expressed their own discomfort as a result
This unfortunate experience has made all of us feel very regretful about the events that transpired and the escalationIn response to Ms***’s comments, we will gladly provide a refund of $91.05, which excludes alcohol and tax(Please note that due to liability issues, our company cannot refund the purchase of any alcoholic beverages.) We ask that Ms*** contact us, or we can contact her, to provide us with her credit card information so that we can move forward with her refund as soon as possiblePlease accept our sincere apologies once again, and feel free to contact me if you have any further questionsThank you?
Hi my name is *** ***, I am currently a bartender/assistant manager at Kabuki Restaurants in Glendale, ArizonaI have been working here for almost six yearsOn April 18, (Friday night) I was working as a bartender with *** (another bartender)Throughout the night we had several people sit in the loungeWe usually do not serve in the lounge, unless we are not that busyThis evening we had a small group of guests there who ordered drinks through ***. Guests cashed out their drinks with *** and he had mentioned to me that the they did not tip usI did not know they wanted to order food or anything else until a little later, when *** (the General Manager) mentioned it to meEventually, they had given me their sushi paper to place an orderI placed the order and asked if they wanted to keep the tab open or close itGuests decided to keep it open, therefore, I asked for a card to keep it openI then brought out utensils, edamame, and miso soup, then returned to the barThroughout their visit, two different guests in the group came up to the bar to order a few shots from meI made it for them and added it to their billTheir food arrived and I went down to them and asked if they had received everything they orderedOne lady replied with "no, I ordered snow crab.” Then I told her I would double check her sushi listI checked her marked sushi list and she had marked snow crab sushi with smelt eggI then went back to her and apologized for not putting in that order and asked the guest if she wanted it to be made, she replied "yes"Therefore, I told her that I would have the chefs make it quickly (it came out approximately minutes later)Guests then cashed out their second tab with ***He asked me to see if the guests had not tipped us again, so I went to the lounge, pre-bussed some dishes and grabbed the checkI went back to the bar and showed ***; he then went to the lounge and all I heard was them having a conversation*** called our General Manager, ***, and the guests were raising their voice even louderMeanwhile, some of our regulars were inquiring about what had happened because they only witnessed these guests causing a scene before leaving the restaurantI'm not sure what they were saying to ***, but one of the female guests threw her boxed up sushi towards the bar when she was heading to the door to exit
Hi my name is ***, I have been working with Kabuki for over years now. This recent incident happened on the 18th of April. *** and I were bartending that nightThere were people in their partyThe girls waited in the lounge while the guy ordered drinks through me. He ordered two Ka-Bombs and two shots of White Gummy BearsI asked everyone one for IDs, and I could tell right away the girls were a little irritated that I carded themI made the drinks and the guy handed me the girl’s credit card and the tab was $I asked if he wanted to keep the tab open for other food and drinksHe said to close itSo I did, they didn't leave any tipI was helping out with the well drinks when apparently they ordered food with *** and she told me they complained about *** serving the other lounge table next to them and not them*** would not do that, the bar was too busy to serve any lounge tablesShe told me the girls were mad that they were not getting service down thereThe people next to them were coming to the bar to order food and drinks, so I know *** was not serving them down at the loungeI really don't know what happened after this because I was helping out with other customers*** took their food and drink order. The only thing she told me was that the girls were extremely rude. I never talked to the girls yet, just the guy who ordered the drinks through me and he was nice; just didn't tip anythingI noticed that they were being rude to ***, so I looked at the tab and their tab was about $I told her I would close them out since they for some reason didn't like herI offered to box up their food since I had some free time during that momentThe guy politely said no just need a couple boxes and some ginger and wasabi. I went to the back to get some ginger, wasabi and boxesI gave him the boxes I asked if they wanted to order any more drinks and he said just cash them out. He said to put it on his girlfriend’s card (this tab was started when *** asked for the card.) I ran the card and gave them the check and said, “thank you, have a great night.” I knew they were not going to tip much just because they didn't give any on the $before and they were being rude to *** earlier. The bar started slowing down around this time, I asked *** if she could bus the tables because they still had some plates when they boxed their foodShe grabbed the check and gave it to me. I noticed that they wrote something like, "Maybe you should have asked for a name for the card on the receipt." They were rude the entire night to her when she really didn't do anythingI went to them and asked if there was anything wrong because I didn't know what they meant when they wrote that on the credit card receipt. They then said *** served the lounge and not themI told her that *** was just dropping off plates and edamame and that they were actually going to the bar and orderingShe then said she had an attitude when *** asked for a credit card to keep the tab openI then told her it’s mandatory for all lounge guests to start a tab because it’s really easy for them to walk out without payingShe said she understands abut she didn't have to ask for the credit card like thatThis girl was already getting defensive and extremely disrespectful. She said, “why are you even asking me.” I told her I saw her note on the credit card slip and she started saying all kinds of things about ***Then I'm pretty sure her friend called *** a "***"Things escalated, I was just trying to explain what happened but these girls didn't want to listenThey kept saying how she doesn't deserve any tip and I told her we actually split tips and have to tip out the busser, so essentially we are losing money. They started yelling some more about how *** was rude and if she wasn't rude, they would have tipped a lotI then asked why they didn’t leave any tip on their drink order earlier when *** wasn't even there during that time. This is when she started yelling at me about everything so I asked if she wanted to talk to the managerI grabbed *** and quickly told him what happenedHe went to talk to them and I went behind the bar to help other customersI could tell they were yelling at him and one girl was cursing and threw her foodThey left and *** had a talk with me and ***He told me I shouldn't have asked them why they didn't tip. I really didn't do that at firstI was just seeing if there was a problem because they wrote that statement on the credit card slip. Honestly, *** didn't do anything to justify them talking to her the way they did and disrespecting her?
My name is ***, I am the General Manager at Kabuki Japanese Restaurant
Last Friday 4/18/14, during our dinner business, I received a report from one of my employees regarding a guest complaintOne of the young ladies complained that our bartender, ***, was asking about the tip that he did not receive after serving them*** asked the guests if they had any problems with the serviceThe guests then stated that they did not like the service from the female bartender, ***Guests said that if they knew that the bartenders shared tip, they would have tipped *** that nightAfter hearing this complaint, I was trying to resolve the matter as soon as possible but the young lady from the party started using profanity by saying, “this is *** ***! He doesn't give a *** *** about this." I asked her professionally, "ma'am' would you watch your language, please?” But she continued to use profanity and lastly stated "let's go, this is *** ridiculous!" At this point, I was not able to calm her downShe got up and left without giving me time to resolve the matterWhile the other young lady who I started the conversation with was apologizing to me about her friend's behavior, she came back and threw her boxed up food on the floor where there were other guests diningHer friend continued to apologize about the out-of-line behavior
If the guests were willing to have a conversation without using any foul language, I would've tried my best to spend more time to rectify their needsHowever, the guests did not even give me a chance to speak and left the restaurantThe other guests who sat at the bar certainly weren’t appreciative of the rude language and behavior

The service was alright but when you but coupons on the internetYou got to live up to it !!!

Unprofessional, unorganized and rude staff. Once my loan is paid off I will never do business with them again, nor will I ever refer anyone here.
