First of all this customer called me to diagnose a number of problemsOne was a squeak (rust cancer and grommets), second was a rattle within the dash (loose bracket), third was a steering stabilizer light (sensor and/or rack and pinion), fourth a wheel wobble (the rack and pinion was
bad) lastly a check engine light (a bank knock sensor)During the initial first call the customer also explains he just bought the vehicle from an auction in California and had attempted to fix everything himself, but got frustrated after many personal attempts The customer also expressed he only had $dollars to budget for diagnosing and repairs, yet beings he wasn't able to pay for a diagnostic later explained, he certainly was not able to pay for repairs (quoted much higher than $500) of which he kept trying to begin lessor deals while we were diagnosing in quotes and him doing his own research and repairs on his ownDuring our diagnostic we addressed all issues, the rattle was a loose bracket of which we tightened upon our diagnosticThe squeaks were explained to be worn grommets due to rust cancer of the undercarriage of the vehicleThe customer asked a temporary fix to lube themThe check engine light was a knock sensor of which the customer insisted upon doing the replacement himself as he had been doing numerous repairs and internet investigation via Google on his laptop inside his vehicleThe customer installed the knock sensor yet complained the check engine light was on, we explained to him that he had installed the knock sensor on the wrong side of the engine, of which we installed a new knock sensor on the correct side, the check engine light was no longer on thereafterWe also expressed that there was no promise the squeaks would disappear from lubing them as the correct repair would be to address the rust cancer and new grommetsThe customer insisted we try to lubeAll in all after hours the customer expressed we must fix all issues prior to getting only partial payment on the diagnosticI had expressed our apologies but to decline further business, a free of charge diagnosis, to and to take his repairs elsewhere as we are declining businessThe customer was trying to say that we are liable for repairs that already existed prior to diagnosingCalling us to get a few hundred, expressing he will put bad reviews, yet remove them if we partakeI expressed to him that I'm confused as the engine problems already existed prior to the actual diagnostic, he pressed for more and more money, constantly calling Lastly I feel that the customer is trying to get his vehicle repaired for free by using a system to blame pre-existing repairs on another businessWe have a proven record of qualified repairs for over year track record, going above and/or beyond to please all of our customersThis customer did not understand nor like hearing that as a Washington state business, we have the right to refuse service with anyone as we expressed it to him in a professional yet respectful mannerOne more thing, we never told the customer that we would give any discount if they wrote a "good" review or rateAll of our customers rate and review us out of honesty and in natural formWe can easily get a petition from our customers to prove that to be true
