My parents surprised me with a King Charles Cavalier from Your Puppylove in November 2011. He is the sweetest little baby boy! I cannot thank these people enough.

Review: In June of 2013 my wife and I purchased a ten week old (born on 3/**/13) male Boston Terrier puppy from Blue Ribbon Puppies (also known as Your Puppy Love, Long Island Boston Terriers and a heap of other names). We paid $1500 dollars for the puppy, which seemed in good health during our visits and had they gave us records for vaccinations and [redacted] (which the breeder was doing himself to save money). Upon purchase we were given a 'Health Warranty', that stated we would receive 12months of free veterinary care through the Animal Wellness Center in [redacted], under the provision we took the puppy in for an exam within 14days.

A day or two after purchasing the puppy, it was clear that he was sick so we took him to the Animal Wellness Center, who told us he had an [redacted] and numerous parasites. The Wellness Center prescribed some antibiotics and dewormers and sent us away. We informed the breeder, who told us not to worry and that the Wellness Center would take care of him. The following week it was again clear that the puppy was still not getting better, so we took him again to the Wellness Center. Only this time they were extremely rude and unhelpful, but they decided at this point to keep him in for approximately 5 days to treat him. Shortly after picking him up, and after having multiple bad experiences with the Animal Wellness Center management and staff, it was still clear the puppy was not getting better. We called Blue Ribbon (Your Puppy Love), to complain about the care the puppy had received at the 'Warranty Vet' and the breeder advised us that the puppy must have got sick after we purchased, BUT that he would arrange for us to go to [redacted]' Animal Hospital in [redacted], **. From there on, we had to pay for all our veterinary bills ourselves. We decided to take the puppy to [redacted]' Animal Hopsital, as the breeder advised, and they managed to cure his [redacted], but as we live in Brooklyn, traveling that far out on Long Island was not viable for a permanent veterinarian.

We again contacted the breeder to report that the [redacted] had been cleared, but the dog was still suffering with a [redacted] called '[redacted]'. We believe that the puppy had [redacted] before we purchased him, and the breeder denied that on the phone, once again reminding us that he would have caught it in the one or two days between purchase and our first visit to the Wellness Center in [redacted]. It took our puppy 8months and over $1500 in veterinary bills alone to clear this parasite, which our veterinarian managed to cure in February 2014.

I understand that it is nearly impossible to categorically prove that the puppy had [redacted] and other illnesses at the time of purchase, but I think it would be very convenient for him to have contracted those illness in such a short period of time after purchase. Furthermore, I think the 'Health Warranty' dupes pet buyers into going to a substandard veterinary center, which the breeder has an agreement with.Desired Settlement: Financial reimbursement for veterinary examinations, medication and tests that were necessary to clearing the [redacted].
