Thank you for giving us a chance to provide this explanationThis is the first time that our company has received a complaint and we would like work our hardest to resolve the issue as soon as possible Thanks again [redacted] HVAC / [redacted] Style Definitions */

I am rejecting this response because: They have totally fabricated the factsThey did not provide a written estimate before they did the workThe invoice was signed after the work was done to signify that it was completeThere was no breakdown provided to indicate how much the parts were and how much the labor was prior to doing the workAt this point I feel that Yourk should be providing a breakdown of their costs to justify the amount charged. The amount I provided in my complaint was charged by Thorsen's when my brother had the same work done the week before mine in Turlock, and it included premium timeYourk can try to spin it any way they want but the bottom line is they cannot justify charging $for the work performedI look forward to receiving a refund as previously requested to resolve this

Revdex.com:
I was contacted by telephone on August 4th by Yourk HVAC They informed me that they were accepting the amount I presented and were processing a $refund if that was acceptable to me. I agreed and have received their check today August 7thThat resolves this issue to my satisfaction. I appreciate the assistance you have provided in this matter. I would also like to say that I did not have a problem with the finished work the company providedMy only problem was with the amount they charged

First off, we would like to apologize for any negative experience that you have had working with us as our mission is to provide an excellent, fast, and reliable service to all our customerAs far as pricing, we did change multiple parts ( Two Run capacitors and condenser fan motor) instead of the
single item mentioned in the complaintAll the fees were presented to the customer in the invoice and it was signed and agreed up on before the repair beganSince our customer satisfaction is our number one priority, we are suggesting that the customer may obtain three estimates from other local "state licensed and certified" companies for the same services done, and we will take the average of the three estimates to compare to our pricingIf it turns out that we have overcharged the customer, we will compensate the customer based on the average of the three estimatesAlso, we conducted a search through out our email and have no received emails from this customer as we are very adamant to resolve any customers' concern in preliminary stages and as soon as possible, so we appreciate if the customer can contact us via phone stated on the invoice and we will provide same day response, which is same as our serviceWe are looking forward to hearing from the customerThanks again

We are rejecting response because: Several items listed in Yourk's explanations are not true
I looked up price of *** model # and compared it to ***It was less expensive and a little lower qualityThey did not ask for approval or explain why they brought a different brand than what we discussed
The date of permit application was on 8/27/Over two months after installWe had to request it(see attachment City of Modesto building safety division)
according to City of Modesto, a permit should be applied for before or at the time of install
We did not have dripping in ceiling and wall before the installWe notified *** on several occasionsHe came out and added freon, took out freon and changed a coilNone of these fixed the dripping problemMeanwhile, we called *** *** from Energywise to get a consultation on the matter
After doing a thorough inspection, Bob discovered many findings that need to be corrected(Please see attachment from Barnett's Energywise)
Not only did *** install wrong coil and did not reseal duct system, overlooked undersized main supply duct and return duct and grill, but the HERS rater passed the inspection as did the City inspector
In order to qualify for a MID rebate, the evaporator coil and the air conditioner has to be a registered combination with a unique approval numberThe coil is a York and the air conditioner is an *** said it was because we had seer and it needed to be (please see MID rebate catalog) His statement is not true
At this time we have lost all trust with Yourk's work and would appreciate any future work to be done by *** ***'s Co
*** called on 9/22/and said he would consider paying to have the problems fixed and will deliver it in writing on 9/26/However, we will not resolve this complaint until all repairs have been done and paid forThank you, *** ***

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and negative experience with our company, but as you are a ware, we do not charge based on hours that it takes to complete the work. Hence, your charges were not based on how many hours our technician had spend on making sure that the job was done right and "correcting his error". However, since our motto here at Yourk heating and air is to meet the satisfaction of all our costumers, with your permission, we will have our technician contact you tomorrow and arrange time to come and meet your satisfaction as far as the financial aspects of your concern/complaint. Please let us know if you reject or accept this suggestion to resolve this matter. Thank you again and we are looking forward to hearing from you.

Review: On June 24th I hired this company to replace the fan motor in my air conditioning compressor unit. It went out the night before and made the air conditioning inoperable. I called this company as a result of an ad in the Modesto Bee that week. Their ad led me to believe that they were competitive in pricing their work. They came out that day and confirmed that the fan needed to be replaced. The technician informed me that it would cost $680 to replace the fan. Not knowing exactly what had to be done and considering that it was supposed to get over 100 that day I agreed to have him do the work even though I was never given an actual written estimate breaking down the costs. After the work was complete I began wondering about the cost since it seemed steep for the work performed and the time it took. I thought that maybe the fan cost a lot but when I found the exact fan online for less than $100 I knew I had been had. That meant it cost more than $500 for way less than 2 hours work. I also checked with a relative who had to have the same work done the week before and his cost was $280. His work was done by a very reputable local firm in Turlock and was performed after 6 in the evening so most likely included premium time costs.Bottom line this firm way overcharged for the work performed even though they claim otherwise in their ads. They did not provide a written estimate as I believe is required in California and their charges do not appear to be based on the industry practice. I contacted the company by email as provided for by their web site 3 times and received no response back from them. In my mind the technician that came out has to know that the bill for the work was way out of line and it makes me wonder how often they overcharge people. It makes for a shady business in my book. I would like to get this resolved with your help.Desired Settlement: I expect a refund for the labor cost associated with the work. The gentleman spent approximately 2 hours working on the unit, with approximately half the time spent correcting his error in trying to put the top of the unit on backwards. I would expect to pay no more than the amount paid by my brother when his compressor fan motor was replaced in Turlock the week before during the evening. His cost was $280. That cost should cover any cost associated with coming out on short notice on the 24th.
