It is confirmed that the customer began the Business Administration-Management program at YT Career institute-York in July 2005. The...

Business Administration-Management program was originally approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PADOE) in October of 1998 and our accrediting agency, Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology n/k/a Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) in February 1999. In conjunction with PA DOE Standards and ACCSC Standards, a student must complete the program as scheduled once enrolled. All courses approved to be taught at the time the customer started were scheduled and completed by the customer. Following licensing and accreditation standards and requirements, changes to the program that may have taken place after the customer enrolled could not have affected the customer. The customer graduated with an Associate in Specialized Business degree in April 2007 from the Business Administration-Management program at YTI Career institute-York. Her employment in the field of instruction was verified on April 23, 2007 by our Career Services Department. However, as stated in the YTI Career Institute Consolidated Catalog, ‘Alumni are offered life long career assistance, which includes the opportunity to attend career fairs and skill update workshops and the ability to audit courses included in the program from which they graduated, if space permits," Career fairs vary at each offering, depending on employer availability. This Company does not care AT ALL about their Students. Specifically Thomas Steele.
Their Veteran's Affairs Department doesn't exist. This is a MAJOR problem for the veterans who attend here and especially prospective student veterans. They have messed up several confirmed B.A.H./Veteran Benefits since I have started here.
If you try to reason with them on several levels they will not. They will blatantly ignore the calls of ENTIRE classroom's complaints.
Contrary to their slogan/mission statement they only care about the teachers and the administration's feelings not their students.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
nobody would have kept track of dates and times of contacts this is a ridiculous request to ask of anyone with a complaint.  I have called at least 10 times the year I graduated and several times there after. No also called last year.  The fact is YTI has not held to their agreement and I also want to bring up the fact that the instructors laughed in our faces when we wrote down the amount we thought we could make with our degree.  Even small amounts.  And lets not forget the fact that my degree isn't even good enough for YTI to hire me in admissions.  Which was within the last 2 years.  Do you keep track of all your phone calls and applications didn't think so.  I'm still standing by my request.
Regards,

It is confirmed that the customer attended YTI Career Institute – York.  The customer’s first day of attendance was 10/24/16 and last date of attendance was 4/3/17, at which time the customer withdrew from our institution.  The VA Chapter 33 benefit payment the customer references in the...

complaint was a tuition payment for the subsequent term, which had a start date of 4/26/17; the certification for that VA payment for the 4/26/17 term was entered prior to the customer withdrawing from school on 4/3/17 and as such, that payment was posted to the customer’s account on 4/17/17.  That payment was identified as an amount to be refunded to the VA and YTI notified the VA of the cutomer's withdrawal status on 4/26/17.  It should be noted that YTI’s notification to the VA regarding the customer’s status change was done in a timely fashion; in accordance with VA’s School Certifying Official procedures, the school has up to 30 days to report changes to a student’s enrollment status to the VA, and our notification was made within 23 days.  At this time, YTI is awaiting receipt of a VA School Debt letter from the VA; upon receipt of that letter, YTI will then return the funds to the VA.  Please be advised that YTI cannot return funds to the VA until we receive the VA School Debt letter.  This may take up to 30 days from the 4/26/17 notification date to process.
