On June 15, 2019, ***, Owner of Yubi's Kitchen, removed a quartz countertop from a ktichen island for the purpose of polishing the stone and reinstalling it at my part time residence in Boca Raton. I was given a turn around time of two weeks. As I do not permanently reside in Boca, I advised Mr. that I would return on the date that he provided me for installtion. On the morning of the scheduled installation date, I received a call from Mr.' partner advising me that the installation would not take place at that time. I wasted airfare and time going to Boca for this date.
After a discussion, Mr. provided me with another date and time for the installtion. I made arrangements for a neighbor to be available to let Mr. in for the reinstallation. Again, Mr. was a no-call, no-show.
After a few weeks of attemptng to negotiate, Mr. finally admitted that my stone had been badly damaged and that he would need to fabricate a new stone. I agreed to this. Mr. again did not follow through. I ultimately asked Mr. to pay for the stone that was damaged and I would seek a replacement stone elsewhere. I did not hear back from Mr. I ultimately paid for another company to install a new countertop, whcih required I purchase another stone top as well as pay for the installtion.
In December 2019, Mr. finally agreed to reimbursement (not my cost but business cost) for the stone. He told me that he would reimburse me immediately. As of this date, I have not received my reimbursement, nor have I heard from Mr..
This is truly a cautionary tale. This company was highly rated on another website, pay attention to the negative comments that you see. It makes no difference if the business is perfect 90% of the time if you are the customer who is left in a lurch.
Product_Or_Service: Countertop polish and reinstallation
Refund I would like to be refunded $450.00, the amount I was charged for 9 square feet of white quartz.
Customer estimate was for $588.50 in which she made a payment with her AMEX Transaction # XXXXXX for the amount of $294.25 on June 29,2019. She never made any additional payment customer was promised a refund. Refund transaction was done and completed on August 30,2019 for the amount she paid on June $294.25. Attached you will find I have included the copy of the transactions showing proof of payment and refund. In which she has received copies of multiple times; as well I just resent her a copy today for she can contact her credit card company or look at her statement.

I agree that the business refunded the down payment as I noted in the original complaint. The issue remains that he removed a 9 sq. foot white quartz countertop from my home that he never returned and eventually conceded had been damaged. I ultimately had to purchase another quartz stone countertop from another vendor, which was an additional expense. In December 2019, the vendor agreed to reimburse me for the stone, but never did. I would still like to be reimbursed for the cost of the replacement stone. His indignation and resentment is misplaced.
