Review: taking too long for a check refund from corporate headquartersDesired Settlement: I would like a refund check mailed to me asap

Review: In June 2012, I purchased a DY cable bracelet with gold at the DY boutique at [redacted]'s. I was quite happy with my purchase until one of the cable broke in May 2015. I brought it in for repair in June but was told that this is due to wear & tear. I insisted that the bracelet or the cables are subpar in quality and that's what caused the break. At last, the manager agreed to send it out for repair. I received little communication regarding repair progress and status but a few weeks later I followed up and received my bracelet back. The repair was not done properly - it appeared that someone slapped a bit of silver to seal the break but missed it and the cable was still broken. The rep at the boutique advised that this is the best they can do. Further follow-up with the staff at the boutique resulted in nothing. Clearly silver and DY jewelry are not meant to last 3 years and be replaced. Additionally, I did not have this issue with any other DY pieces.Desired Settlement: I would like the bracelet to be replaced. If that is not possible, then please issue a refund equivalent to the $750 plus tax purchase price.

To whom it may concern.

My name is [redacted] and I am past upset, disheartened and absolutely appalled by how I have been treated by [redacted]. On April **, 2014 my husband [redacted] and I finally decided on our wedding rings. We had visited the [redacted] website and store several times and finally on this day came in and spoke to a sales associate by the name of [redacted], fine jewelry sales executive, about what we were looking for.

He informed us that [redacted] could meet our hopes and desires for our wedding rings. After several phone calls with [redacted] and a couple more visits to the store we finally decided on which style of rings to buy for our wedding. [redacted] explained they didn’t have our ring sizes in any of the stores across the US and that they would have to be made. He also “promised” that even though they weren’t readily available that as long as we ordered them by May **, 2014 they would be ready and delivered within a week’s time of our wedding, on June **, 2014.

On May *, 2014 purchased our rings at the [redacted] store location in Valley Fair Mall. At that time it was a very celebratory experience, where we met the [redacted] and [redacted] explained he was very excited for us allowing [redacted] to be a part of this historic event. He even stated when our rings came in he would have a bottle of Champaign to celebrate. Our wedding was a huge event at the State Capital and presided by the [redacted] of California. Needless to say there were many distinguished guests, influential business leaders and celebrities at our wedding and our advertising of our wedding focused on our rings and engagement.

Well on or about May **, 2014 our hopes of an amazing union were shattered by the news we received from [redacted]. They reached out to [redacted] and I to inform us that our rings were not going to be ready in time for our wedding. They were very apologetic but did not offer much recourse for us other than sympathy. [redacted] and I then asked if we could have loaner rings in place of our already purchased rings. After several phone calls and emails [redacted] with, [redacted] got back to us and said that we would have to put a full deposit down for the amount of the rings we wanted to use for our wedding. I was completely and utterly disgusted by this response. [redacted] already had a deposit, it was the almost $4k in money we had already spent on the rings. Instead [redacted] wanted us to put down another $4k in order for us to have supplement rings for our wedding.

What kind of organization does this?? I have purchased rings from [redacted]’s, [redacted] and so on and not one of these sellers of expensive fine jewelry would ever treat us like this. They would provide excellent customer service for their false promises and delivery of goods and give us loaner rings for our wedding at a minimum.

[redacted] couldn’t even provide simple rings for our union. This is a disgraceful representation of customer service I have ever experienced. The business practices of this organization should be investigated. If this already wasn’t enough, the straw that broke the camels back was yet another promise by [redacted], that our rings would be ready on and no later than September *, 2014.

Well, what happened when this date came? We received yet another call from [redacted]’s sales executive that our rings were not ready because now they are searching for matching stones. This is simply outrageous! Not to mention at no time has there been contact from their leadership or the [redacted] regarding our situation. They have left it in the hands of their sales rep who has not power or control of delivering our rings. It ‘s as if they don’t even care about us and what we have gone through. In all honesty it is not [redacted]’s fault that it has gone this far it starts with the [redacted] on up.Desired Settlement: I hereby am demanding results and answers from the top, if not the head of [redacted]. I need to know that our rings are made and going to be delivered! If [redacted] cannot make our rings then they need to provide us with alternatives solutions to our problem. In addition they have earned interest on the money we have given them and there should be additional compensation at minimum.

We have been more than patient and the time for it as ran out! We have earned a direct explanation, a date in which they can deliver what was promised and an apology from [redacted] himself. It feels as though they have stolen our money and robbed us of happiness during this time of celebration.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. [redacted] should be praised for how they have responded to our complaint. They have renewed our faith in customer service and most importantly their impeccable products. They have been very respectful and apologetic to our situation and the [redacted] of this location should be praised for her ability to ease a serious issue and bring it to resolution. Because of her amazing customer service we will keep coming back and back again to shop. Thank you [redacted] and Team for fixing the wrongs and touching our hearts to make this a positive and happy, memorable experience.
