I am rejecting this response because: Mr [redacted] 's response is deliberately omitting critical facts why this complaint has been sent to your good office: that he installed the wrong garage door.Again, we specified, through the Haas Residential brochure he himself gave us on November 11, 2017, when he dropped by our property, [redacted] Minnetonka, MN 55345, that we wanted a frosted, laminated glass door WITH Black anodized aluminum panelPlease see Exhibit A and Exhibit B attachedNot the "black full vision half-inch, insulated glass, black in color," he is claiming in his letterAlso, there are other lies in his letter that we want to correct:"Upon arrival to install the garage door, Mr [redacted] (sic) was presentMr [redacted] (sic) set up his own unique code for keyless entryMr [redacted] (sic) wrote a check signifying YVD's completion of work and stated "I like it."Let us clarify this claim: I arrived when he has completely installed the said garage door and the same door was up on the ceiling of the garage at the timeHe asked me to enter the code when the door was in that same positionThus, I did not see it in full until when I started FaceTime with my wife, to show her the door as she was unable to check it out in personAs an added information, our house is under construction then and we were staying at a rentalWhen the garage door started rolling down, that's the only time that we saw the garage door he installed IN FULL VIEWThen we saw what HE ORDERED for us was tinted (the black glass he stated in his letter) glassWhile my wife and I are were doing FaceTime, I run up to him as he was about to leaveHe was inside his car when I told him that that was not we orderedThen he and his son, started saying it will look good when there is sun and it looks good with our houseMr [redacted] started even blaming the company where he ordered it from, the Great Garage Door company ( which we learned when we contacted Haas Glass door as he led us to believe that he ordered from the Haas Glass Door) and said that "that was what they gave me." Again, I stated emphatically that that was not we asked him to order nor it is the same as that of the brochure he gave us and I asked him to reorder and he said yesI gave him a check because this job was based on trustHe was recommended by a a very good common friend who knows him too and based on that we gave him a check thinking in good faith that he will make good of a wrong installation and reorder what we specified, not because we were satisfiedAlso when I said "I like it," it is not the garage door itself, which is totally different from what we orderedIt was the "quiet mechanism," that goes with the door.It should be noted as well that prior to this installation we sent him text messages that specified the garage door we want, as early as September 30, Please see exhibit C that further was clarified with the brochure he gave us on November 11, 2016, the Haas Glass door Residential Product Line, which on pg 8-9, where we clearly specified, so many times to him that we want a frosted, laminated glass with black aluminum panel.Mr [redacted] 's friend, Mr [redacted] who recommended him to us , even talked to him and asked him to correct his mistakeMr [redacted] even told Mr [redacted] that "you cannot do this to *** [redacted] is a good man." I am rejecting this response because:
Mr [redacted]'s response is deliberately omitting critical facts why this complaint has been sent to your good office: that he installed the wrong garage door.Again, we specified, through the Haas Residential brochure he himself gave us on November 11, 2017, when he dropped by our property, [redacted] Minnetonka, MN 55345, that we wanted a frosted, laminated glass door WITH Black anodized aluminum panel. Please see Exhibit A and Exhibit B attached. Not the "black full vision half-inch, insulated glass, black in color," he is claiming in his letter. Also, there are other lies in his letter that we want to correct:"Upon arrival to install the garage door, Mr [redacted] (sic) was present. Mr [redacted] (sic) set up his own unique code for keyless entry. Mr. [redacted] (sic) wrote a check signifying YVD's completion of work and stated "I like it."Let us clarify this false claim: I arrived when he has completely installed the said garage door and the same door was up on the ceiling of the garage at the time. He asked me to enter the code when the door was in that same position. Thus, I did not see it in full until when I started FaceTime with my wife, to show her the door as she was unable to check it out in person. As an added information, our house is under construction then and we were staying at a rental. When the garage door started rolling down, that's the only time that we saw the garage door he installed IN FULL VIEW. Then we saw what HE ORDERED for us was tinted (the black glass he stated in his letter) glass. While my wife and I are were doing FaceTime,  I run up to him as he was about to leave. He was inside his car when I told him that that was not we ordered. Then he and his son, started saying it will look good when there is sun and it looks good with our house. Mr. [redacted] started even blaming the company where he ordered it from, the Great Garage Door company ( which we learned when we contacted Haas Glass door as he led us to believe that he ordered from the Haas Glass Door) and said that "that was what they gave me." Again, I stated emphatically that that was not we asked him to order nor it is the same as that of the brochure he gave us and I asked him to reorder and he said yes. I gave him a check because this job was based on trust. He was recommended by a a very good common friend who knows him too and based on that we gave him a check thinking in good faith that he will make good of a wrong installation and reorder what we specified, not because we were satisfied. Also when I said "I like it," it is not the garage door itself, which is totally different from what we ordered. It was the "quiet mechanism," that goes with the door.It should be noted as well that prior to this installation we sent him text messages that specified the garage door we want, as early as September 30, 2016. Please see exhibit C that further was clarified with the brochure he gave us on November 11, 2016, the Haas Glass door Residential Product Line, which on pg 8-9, where we clearly specified, so many times to him that we want a frosted, laminated glass with black aluminum panel.Mr. [redacted]'s  friend, Mr. [redacted] who recommended him to us , even talked to him and asked him to correct his mistake. Mr. [redacted] even told Mr. [redacted] that "you cannot do this to [redacted]. [redacted] is a good man." But Mr. [redacted] was obstinately refusing this and he said "I am not scared." Therefore, he clearly has the willful intention of not making good of the incorrect order.Another statement he falsely claimed: "During the four week manufacturing of the special order garage door Mr. [redacted] had ample time to cancel or modify the order if it was indeed incorrect." This is the part that got him in trouble. That is the part of this whole job that he, himself perhaps forgot our specification or took upon himself to order directly and excluded us in the process. As he was the one who ordered and directly contacted the supplier and never gave us the benefit nor the chance to confirm his order. A week or two after he left our house on November 11, 2016, we called him up to follow up the order. During that period, he never told us when and what he exactly ordered. He just sent us a text on Dec 2 saying " Alright we have received all the information formation (sic) about the full vision doors. The factory will be shipping next week. Do not panic. Next week when we receive the door I will immediately install it. I am greatly apologetic as it seems the factory took longer than expected." On December 5, he sent another text saying he has the door and he will install it on Wednesday, December 7. Please see Exhibit D attached. In this timeline and his ordering process, he failed to confirm with us about his order. As a good measure for any right-minded and dutiful business owner, who should place customer service at an optimum, that was a misstep on his part by excluding us in the ordering process and made it exclusively between him and the supplier. In those times we followed up the order, he never mentioned what he specifically ordered. Again, in good faith, we assumed he ordered what we categorically, specifically and repeatedly told him about what we want for our garage door. Also as a good business sense, he should have been insured and bonded if he is about to take job prices worth $4,000.00  and above so he won't be caught in a mess like this instead of willfully and deliberately ignoring the customer, lying to the customer and just replying when the customer take the complaint to Revdex.com. Therefore, Mr. [redacted]'s response does not satisfy our complaint. We remain that he replace the wrong garage door he installed or refund us in full for this mistake. Our house costs $700,000 and counting. We cannot let a wrong garage door ruin what we envision for our house. We've sacrificed a lot for this house.Respectfully yours,[redacted]
