One of my rental properties had been left with a bed bug infestation by a tenant. This is a single family 3 bedroom home and was vacant of all furnishings, pictures, etc and had a lock box on the door so contractors (such as Z-Best) could access the residence without me being there. I removed all switch covers and wall plates as advised by Z-Best and they came in and treated the house on the day they scheduled and left a receipt for the service. I also asked for a follow up treatment in 3 to 4 weeks just to be sure the bed bugs were completely eliminated and Z-Best agreed to do so at no charge. Z-Best also offered a 1 year guarantee on their treatment. I could never verify that the home actually received a second treatment by Z-Best as no receipt or evidence of a visit was left, plus I saw live bed bugs.
I called Z-Best many times trying to get them to retreat (per their guarantee) and ended up with un-returned messages, disconnected phone numbers, and an complete appearance of lack of organization when I did finally get hold of them. While they were very sympathetic and willing to go back to the house. After they scheduled to go back and see the issue/retreat they did not keep the appointment. Stay away from Z-Best pest control as they were not capable or responsive to my situation. Their guarantee is obviously meaningless and it cost me a loss of $810 to fond this out.

I am giving Z-Best a negative review because of their poor customer service and billing practices.
I signed up for a quarterly contract which means Z-Best will come out every quarter and spray the exterior of my home. This contract also says that they will bill my credit card quarterly and will come out anytime that I need pest control services without an additional cost. Everything was fine on the actual spraying of the exterior of my house on a quarterly basis; however they failed to bill my credit card EVERY quarter and EVERY quarter I would receive a delinquent notice. I signed up for the service to ease my mind about scheduling and paying and so far it has made it LESS easy.
That issue was a pain but I lived with it. However, when I actually needed Z-Best to come out in between quarters I was stonewalled. I never needed them to come out but once a quarter until about a month ago. I called the company to report small flying black bugs on all of my window screens which prevented me from opening my windows. These bugs seemed to appear a week after my last outside pest service from Z-Best.
I called the company and a woman answered. I told her that I needed someone out to spray and she forwarded my call to Jason, the son of this father-son business. I left a message... No reply. My husband called back three or four days later and the same woman answered and again forwarded the call to Jason where he left a message...No Reply. We have called several times after that expressing our concern and guess what ....NO REPLY. To add insult to injury, after the many times we tried to get a hold of them we get a delinquent bill in the mail. They have the time to bill me for a service they are supposed to automatically charge, but they can't call a customer back?
This business has really disappointed me. I did my homework before signing up with them. I went on the Revdex.com website and Angie's list for reviews and grades. The grade was an A on both sites. That is why I am writing this review. I don't think I am the lone customer who Z-Best has neglected and could not get their billing practices right with.
