ZRT Laboratory strongly stands behind the test results referenced in this complaint. After careful review, it was confirmed that the information provided by the customer on his lab requisition supports the saliva test results. As has been shown in a published clinical study and seen in
thousands of patients tested at ZRT, serum, saliva, capillary blood and urine all offer different results for people using topically applied hormones. Some other modes of treatment, such as oral, injections or pellets do not present the same types of differences. A ZRT Laboratory physician telephoned this customer’s physician to explain the saliva test results and why they differed from the other lab’s serum results. The customer’s physician did not answer, so we left a voice message. To date, we have no record of the customer’s physician returning this call. We would welcome an opportunity to visit with the physician about this customer and the test results.
