Review: On Wednesday October 9, 2013, I was having troubles with my car and decided to call Z&S Gas and Service to ask them about the issue. They had told me that they would have to take a look at it to see what the problem is. I asked how much it would cost and they said that they would have to check it out first and I asked how much that would cost and they said that it wouldnt. I drove my car down and left it at their establishment with the key and contact information to reach me the next day. I received a call from the business on Thursday October 10, 2013 from them and they had said there was something wrong with the sensor and that they had one from a car last week and put in the used piece without my knowledge and without having asked me if I wanted the work done on my car and if I had wanted a used part. He told me it will be 85 dollars for it and that we needed to have the gasket replaced and that that might be the problem. We asked how much that would be and he said that it would cost 200 dollars. I told him that I would like to talk to some people first before any decisions were made and they kept trying to convince me out of it and that they could explain anything I needed. I drove down with my mother to the shop and they explained that there were three problems with the car. They replaced the sensor and my mother asked them why because we never signed anything and he replied with "Because it makes things easier." We didn't feel comfortable with him working on the car so we told him we are going to have it towed and he immediately became somewhat angry at us for not wanting it fixed and told us it will cost another $80 for the diagnosis. We found this ridiculous since they said it would cost nothing and we never wanted that piece installed. Fearing that they'd put a lean on the car we paid and left. We brought the car to Meineke and they said the only problem was the gasket and nothing else. I confronted the Z&S worker about the issue and he was angry and said he was trying to be nice.Desired Settlement: If I could get a refund for a diagnosis that I was never told would cost money and seemed to be abruptly added on out of anger and receive a proper refund for a piece that I never agreed on having input on my car and was never given a chance to compare the price.

He bought in the car because of high rpm and engine light was on. I told him I would of had to replace the intake gasket which would of had cost him $200 parts and labor. and maybe the idle. He did not approve the job. I told him if he had the work done here, I would of credited him the diagnostic fee but he bought it somewhere else, so I am charging him the fee I did diagnosing the vehicle. I did not yell or argue with him, I never do that with any of my customers
