Zach Deal Reviews (5)

After paying for one of Zach Deals programs I did not hear from him for five daysI got no word that he would be away for the holidays or how long it would take him to create my 'program'Once I requested a refund of my money, because I hadn't heard from him and felt that kind of behavior was unprofessional, he finally sent a 'program'At this point I was no longer interested in working with someone this unprofessional and requested my refundHis reply was no he then went on to attempt to insult me via text messageSave your money and find a more professional trainerThis one is not worth it

I had the exact same experience as another reviewerHe posted a sale on snapchat for CUSTOMIZED meal and workout plansWhat I received was a generic plan with the only part that I could tell was customized was the macros, which any online macro calculator could have given me for freeThe workout plan was for the full weeks with no real consideration for progress or preferences or desired amount of time to be spent at the gymThe meal plan was a vague list of proteins, fats, and carbs with instructions to substitute any as desiredThe whole point to me was to give me measurements of foods that add to the correct macrosNot for me to basically figure it all out myself
When he emailed me the plan it gave instructions to text to confirm receiptI was so disappointed in the generic content of the plan that I never textedAnd he never followed upSo much for holding clients accountable and providing personalized service
Wish I had seen the negative reviews before I wasted my money

Don't bother wasting your money! I have followed Zach for years on social media so when I saw him put a sale on I jumped on this opportunity. He got back to me very quickly with a 'copy and paste' email. I still bought the program because I was so excited to work with him. After I paid and sent back a questionnaire he didn't send me my program for a week or hear from him.. after a week I emailed him asking when I would receive my program and he sent it the next day with no apology or explanation. I texted him right away like I was supposed to, and he was fairly good at responding at first. Then I didn't hear from him for 2 weeks until my check in. I sent him pics and weight and his reply was 'you look great, what was your original weight'.. as if I never told him my history at all! I told him my start weight and again I got no reply. A couple days later I asked him if I should be changing anything and I still got no reply. I then send him a message saying how disappointed I was with the service I purchased and I did not get a reply to this either. The workout program itself was good and I did enjoy that, but got absolutely NO check ups like he promised and like I paid for.

I decided to try Zach Deal's services when he was running a snapchat promotion - 6 weeks of diet and training for the price of 4 weeks. He runs a lot of promotions, so maybe that should've been a sign - as my boyfriend says, people who constantly run promotions, are people who can't get clients otherwise. I contacted him and he responded fairly quickly - told me if I paid that day (Friday) that I would get my plan by Sunday. As soon as I paid for my program he stopped showing an interest in helping me. But I thought maybe he's busy working on my program and others' program. Sunday rolls around and I'm waiting for my plan, with no word from him it reaches midnight and I still haven't gotten my plan as he promised. So I email him inquiring as to if I could still expect it that night and by the time I wake up Monday morning I still have no response. That night, after no plan and no response to my email, I decide to open a claim on PayPal. I send him a message through PayPal saying I'd like my money back since my plan was so late and I received no email updating me on the situation - I felt like he wasn't very professional and it would just continue to be like this throughout the six weeks of coaching. 1am Monday night/Tuesday morning I receive my plan - no explanation or apology for it being so late. No response to my earlier email or my claim on PayPal. It was a long document full of information which is great, but it seemed like the only thing personalized about my plan was a set of macros he gave me - the workouts and the diet suggestions did not seem personalized in any way. I decided to just go with it and cancel my claim as I had technically received my plan - in the email with the plan it says to text him right away with your full name when you get the plan. So I texted him, at 2am cause that's when I received my plan. He responded really fast and I felt positive that things would turn around. But after asking him a question about warming up my muscles, he responded very rudely and seemed annoyed that I was questioning him in any way. I explained I wasn't trying to offend him I was just curious - cause why the [redacted] would I hire a coach who refuses to explain any part of my "personalized" plan to me. After a couple texts back and forth I regretted paying $200 for this. He wasn't helpful at all, he was condescending and he never acknowledged or apologized for being so late with my plan. I paid $200 to have him lie to me about when I'd get my plan, ignore my question when I asked for an update about when id get this plan, and then had him act like an [redacted] and not at all professional when I finally got in contact with him. Not able to get my money back, and this experience has totally put me off hiring an online coach. I can google my own workouts and diet ideas thanks.
