I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Yes, I did come to the residence daily to check on things & take care of other projects that were in progressMrCyrus did always ask if everything was ok, and every time I pointed something out, he would either say he'd fix it, tell me I was worrying too much or give me some excuse why it looked the way it did. I had planned to use eggshell paint & he advised against it & talked me into going with semi-gloss....big mistake because now, not only do I have a house full of painting errors, they are shiny on top of it. The job he agreed to was to paint all walls & ceilings, (closets included) all baseboards, all windowsills(in & out) doorframes, patch any holes & cracks and whatever else he saw fit to make it look smooth & professional. We were to provide paint and a place for them to clean their items at the end of each dayHe was to have everything elseThe only thing we DEMANDED he use was drop cloths & he didn't even do that. We also had to get a sheetrock man to come in and fix a big hole in the wall where MrCyrus took it upon himself to take out a built in that I had briefly talked to him about, asking him about an idea that I hadThat didn't mean to go ahead & tear it out while I was gone! And then he even got My sheetrock guy to patch spots while there so he wouldn't have to do it!Upon final walk thru, I did notice a couple things & actually had him fix before goingI was told the paint was still drying on the wall that got painted the wrong color & the bathroom wall above the mirror that was wrongThey were notThey indeed were painted wrong color.I honestly did not think it was necessary to check EVERY little place that he agreed to paint to be sure he didHe's the professional, not meHowever, here are the things that didn't get done/problems •Ceilings are streaked with sections not even painted at all & utility room ceiling wasn't painted•Closets were not done nor the ceilings in them •Only windows were completely done (there are 12) & he would not allow them to caulk areas in them that needed it when painting•Baseboard in bathroom was not painted•Trim has wall paint all over edges from not taping •walls got wrong color paint•Hole in wall had to be repaired•Paint was dripped on carpet in or places•Took my new paint can and 5ntool •Left empty paint cans and small amounts of trim paint that weren't mine??I brought all of this to his attention within 24hrs and he made a mockery of it & then said he was no longer comfortable having this conversation with me(I still have text messages to prove it)I don't expect or want a full refund as he did bring a crew there & some work was satisfactory. I do however feel that due to the cost of redoing much of the paint, providing almost all of the materials to paint with, paying a sheetrock person to come out ASAP on day 1, carpet being ruined & his overall disrespect for my home, that asking for half of my money back ($1000.00) is more than reasonable. First of , let it be known this is my first complaint in over 30 yrs! Secondlyd, I did supply everything except what customer demanded I use.Third, there was no boyfreind / girlfriend business going on.Fourth, I asked everyday, because she was there, " Is everything ok  "? And did a complete...
