When our AC stopped cooling this guy was sent out through my home warranty company, American Home Shield. He was quite possibly the rudest, most dismissive, most condescending repair “Professional” I’ve ever encountered. We took ½ a day off of work because he was scheduled to come out between 1pm and 4pm. At 5pm he called and said he wouldn’t show up until after 6pm. We told him that AHS tacks on an after-hours fee for service after 5pm. When asked to send a text message verifying the additional fee will not be charged, he changed his mind about coming at all that day and sid he would arrive the next morning. The next day, after taking another ½ day from work he didn’t arrive until 4:45pm. After he declared the unit repair and left, we noticed within hours that our home was still heating up. We called AHS and arranged from him to come out again…and again…and again. Each time he showed up late or not at all. Then he said it was repaired only to discover we were still without AC in triple digit temperatures. Finally, we called AHS and insisted on a more competent repair person. That company informed us that, not only did he not fix it but he actually broke the valve and tried to glue it back on! The result was the Freon kept leaking out almost as fast as he put it in. Dealing with him cost us three weeks of aggravation in 104 degree days, $1400 in repair costs, a new air handler and a new compressor motor. There is not a rating number low enough for this guy!
