False advertising
The company in this complaint used Joanna Gaines as a celebrity who either endorses this product or uses this product which is false. Joanna Gaines talked to the media and said that she has no connection with this product. The only reason we tried this product out on a "free trial" is because of Joanna Gaines name. We were billed almost two hundred dollars 15 days after ordering this "free trial" without any receipt or email. This should not happen to anyone else.

Desired Outcome

A full refund.

I ordered a free trial online and was my credit card was charged for a full size product within the "trial" period.

I placed an online order for two products advertised by Zarza as "free trials" on 9-24-2017 and a third product which was not covered under the free trial and shipping charges for the two "free" products plus a charge for the third product were on a credit card. I received the products through the regular postal service on October 6th (and paid for them). Without my knowledge Zarza charged my credit card, posted on 10-8-2017, for two recurring charges of $89.95, which they claim were for the trial products to which I subscribed. I contacted my credit card and reported these charges as fraudulent as soon as I noticed them, which was on my October statement. I also sent an email to Zarza, email address from my order confirmation, and told them to cancel my order and asked that they cease from any future shipments of any product and from charging me for such products. I also requested a refund for the charges posted to my account on 10-8-2017. The only reponse I received was an email stating that they were cancelling my account. However, when my credit card contacted them, they sent quite an extensive justification for their practices. I downloaded the material sent to the credit card fraud investigation unit and read every word. Seems that their "terms" for this free trial are contradicted in various places, but especially flagrant was their claim that the "free trial" period of 21 days started from the date the order was placed and that shipment of the product was just 2-3 days (and three to 4 in another part of the terms). Also, they seem to be quite non-specific regarding the 21 days. They have referred to that trial period as business days in some places but not in all places. It took them about 10 "business days" to get the trial product to me but as soon as it was delivered, they charged my credit card (posted charges were 10-8-2017). Whether it was calendar days or business days and whether it was from the order date or from the date I received the products (how could I sample them and see whether or not I wished to cancel or allow a recurrent charge for more product if they charged me before I previewed them). I feel most of their "terms" were sufficiently open-ended or contradictory that they can change their excuse for their practices on a whim. When my credit card received the stack of paper from them, they did not read it but accepted the response as being a good-faith response and charged the disputed amounts back to me. After writing them a letter with more details about the business practices and terms of Zarza, they removed them from my account but I have not yet received a letter from them explaining why they reversed their decision and I would not be surprised if they charge them back to me again if they contacted Zarza, who has a ready but completely unfounded reason for every thing they do. For example, they claimed that they sent "full size" products to me instead of the customary trial sizes...I do't believe that to be true and I took an image of what I received from them. Also, I revisited their webpage and other internet sites with links to their free trial offer, and they have claimed that celebrities well known to the general public use their products. I have ordered beauty products from online suppliers previously and reputable companies do not present false information about their products or their terms. They have sent me two additional emails: one email after I sent as much information to my credit card as I possibly could refuting their explanation for the charges made without my knowledge or permission and suggested that they knew I had complained to *** so they were unable to assist me; the other email suggested that I phone them and speak to a representative who could assist me. I have no confidence in that outcome so I have not phoned them. I have instead spent considerable time in sending letters and phone calls to *** in defense of my claim of fraudulence by Zarza.

Desired Outcome

I want Zarza to send a credit to Citibank for the recurring charges of $179.95 for products I did not have time to sample or cancel prior to being charged for them.

Company promises a free trial bottle but they instead enroll you in a subscription service.
I saw an ad on Pinterest for a free trial bottle of Zarza Skin eye serum and only had to pay shipping and handling of $5.95. They were promoting the product as seen on the tv show Shark Tank. I received product. When I received my credit card statement, I had been charged the $5.95 as well as a charge $89.95. I called the credit card company to dispute the charge of $89.95 as unauthorized charge. I was told by the credit card company representative that this company was a scam and that I had been enrolled in a montly subscription service and there was no such thing as a trial bottle. I was the 25th person that the credit card representative had talked to that day about charges on their credit card from this same company. The credit card company gave me a telephone number to contact Zarza Skin to cancel this contract that I had no idea I was enrolled in as the telephone number on the mailing insert from Zarza is never answered. I called Zarza and cancelled this contract after much pressure from the representative on the phone. This company is misleading consumers with false ads. You can never find the same ads online as they are constanly changing them.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund from Zarza Skin of $89.95 and to see them prevented from placing these misleading and false ads to consumers.

Company refusing to give me information regarding whether they received my product back in the mail.
I attempted to purchase one product online for "free" with the stipulation to pay only the shipping fee on 9/16/17. The online process offered two more "free" items that you had to pay the shipping fee for which I declined. The online process however charged me for and sent these items to me anyway. Three separate charges were withdrawn from my bank account on 9/18/17 in the amounts of $5.97, $5.95, and $30.98 two charges were from Admiriarefresh and one was through Onyeyeserum. I received the product and never used it as I looked into the serum more closely and found several negative reviews. I had planned to send it back but had not gotten around to it yet when I noted on 10/5/17 that another two bank withdraws were taken from my account one for $89.95 and another for $89.97. I called the company and was told this was for the product I received and that next month the same amount would be withdrawn from my account again. I told them to cancel my order and that I would be sending the product back for a refund. On 10/7/17 I sent the product back via USPS. I lost the tracking number and attempted to contact the company on 10/25/17 to see if they had received my return and was told they could not give me any information or return my money without a tracking number. My boyfriend then called back and tried to get some more information and was hung up on. My RMA # is 5BXXXXXXF7.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund of my money in the total amount of $222.82.
