Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: Door has shifted, the rubber gaskets moved and can be seenThis is just not working and I cant keep having it repaired every other weekNew install was 3-**-and here we are days later and the door has shifted again I have not yet contacted them and I honestly don't feel that they can resolve this and just want a refund so I can look somewhere else and use my showerThis has been going on for months, obviously must be a manufacturer issue Sincerely, [redacted]

*** ***, This is in reference to complaint # *** We Installed a shower door for the customerThis shower door is of a Neo Angle style, at the time of measurement the customer was not certain if they wanted a piece of metal under the door or notThe situation was left that we
would start it without the metal and that he would contact me if his wife felt differentlyHe contacted me a few days later by phone and told me his wife wanted the metal and we failed to record it in our notes and built the door without the metal(It came out perfectly)The customer contacted us letting us know that they did want the metal and we let them know we would remake one of the pieces to accommodate the piece of metalupon reinstallation of the piece the customer was not happy with the piece and then stated that they did not like the caulking of the job and that we scratched the shower pan because the installer had no drop cloth in pan when doing the repairI went to the house to inspect and the customer complained of silicone all over the bathroomUpon inspection I saw small silicone smudges and told them I would send our tech back to clean it perfectly, at that time I looked for scratches in the pan and could not see any. I spoke to the tech about not having a cloth in the shower, he assured me he did as this is part of our operating procedureI then returned to the site again and reexamined the shower base on my hands and knees with an LED light, I was able to see small rub marks (not scratches) in the center if the panWhen I stood back up I could not see themI asked the customer how old the base was, his response was about 17yrs old but that scratch was never there beforeThe customer was refunded their deposit $and they also did a chargeback to merchant service for $We have contacted the customer and made her aware of the situation, she claims she has not gotten any of our emails and gave us another email addressUpon sending it to that email address, we have made many attempts to contact her but she is not picking up or returning our voicemailsSo as of now, we have removed the door, refunded her the money in full and she has an additional $ Respectfully, Bill B***

[Your Answer Here]
I have read what Showercrafters has written and find they have fabricated many parts of their story.  My wife and I originally ordered the Neo-angular shower door and enclosure with the metal strip below glass door.  We had previously had a full framed shower enclosure and wanted all areas that had previous mounting holes to be covered.  When installation of enclosure was completed, the workers stated that Bill said just install it this way and see if they like it.  I did say that I would have to ask my wife. When she came home from work and inspected it, she felt strongly that it looked unfinished and was worried that down the road the holes that we plugged with silicone would be an issue.  It is true that the side panels of the enclosure were installed perfectly at that time.  We called that evening and said we wanted the frame below the door.  We were told a new glass door would need to be cut to compensate for the additional metal frame that would be placed below it and it would take approximately 2 weeks.  We were fine with that.  When the installers came the second time with the new glass door and channel for below, they originally just replaced the door. When they were done they called us up to see.  The door was not level with the 2 side glass panels.  When we said that we wanted it adjusted, we were told he would have to remove one of the sides.  We said ok.  We thought they are installers and knew what to do.  I do admit that they tried very hard to make it right, but the result was appalling. They also stripped the door handle so it was loose.  There was silicone all-around the side panel they had removed.  The longer they worked, the messier it became.  When they left the entire bathroom and walkway into my master bedroom and hallway were a mess.  No drop cloths were placed anywhere.  We right away sent a text to Bill on August ** at 9:07pm when the workmen left.  It stated "[redacted]"  He did text us the next day and apologized.  He explained he was out of town and upon return would address it.  Bill came and inspected.  He had admitted that he put a post it on our order for the channel requested and it must have fallen off.  We said as long as it all comes out right we are fine.  He agreed that the job was very sloppy and not acceptable and said they would re-install, that they would clean it all down and do it again.  As for the scratches on the pan.  He said it was just dirt and after WE (my wife and I) cleaned the pan really good it would be fine.  We did tell him it was 17 years old.  But we do not shower with shoes on.  When my wife scrubbed down the bathroom, the thin black scratches never came out.  They are exactly in the spot where a person facing the shower door with shoes on would be standing.  We did agree to let them try again.  We are always willing to give someone the chance to correct their mistakes.  The third attempt was a failure again and they took the stripped handle off and did not replace it at that time.  They could not replicate the clean finished look they originally had when they installed the enclosure the first time without the channel we ordered.  Whether that is do to the fact that they did not clean the silicone off like we had done each time they reinstalled or they had other issues I am not sure.  Bill came to look over the job once again.  I informed him then that we wanted to just remove them at this point and be refunded. He said that he would try again and said that he would email me a proposal stating what it would take to rectify the problem.  I never received that email and so I said I wanted it all removed and refunded.  They finally came to remove the full shower enclosure after many attempts by us to contact them.  I had to call two times to ask for my deposit back.  Once all was removed, my wife and myself went to clean up all the residue left behind.  Now we realized that we had chips in a few areas on the tile.  We gave this company plenty of chances to correct the situation.  They made no attempt to compensate us for the damage to the shower pan or the chips on the tile.  We have now been without a shower for several months.  They did contact us saying we were reimbursed twice.  My wife asked them to email both the email address they had on file and my wife email address with the two reimbursement charges from their store.  They did not send any emails to either address.  We did contact our credit card company the Monday after the removal to file a claim.  No one would give us a straight answer on day of removal about our deposit.  The workmen said the office would give credit once doors were back at shop.  The office said the finance person was out of the office.  The removal was on a Saturday.  When I called again on Monday, I still had no answers from them.  That evening, I called my Credit Card company and filed the dispute.

Betty, This Customer was addressed 2 weeks ago and a new door is being installed 3/**/17. Regards, Bill B[redacted]  president

My Name is Bill B[redacted] and I am the president of Showercrafters. I have met with [redacted] about a leak in his shower door and it is being addressed. I went to his home again on 1/**/17 and review the situation. We have attempted to contact him 4x since then to schedule a service appointment...

with no reply. During our meeting all was very civil, and he is very happy with the door, his frustration came when he felt he was not being called back in a timely manner. I assured him, that situation will never happen again, and went as far as to give him my cell number if he ever had any issues, and for his trouble, I extended his warranty for an additional 2 years. I am awaiting his response to our attempts to contact him. He appears at this point to be once again a happy customer.      Regards, Bill PH:         ###-###-####FAX:       ###-###-####Email: : [redacted]

resolved because:

Door has shifted, the rubber gaskets moved and can be seen. This is just not working and I cant keep having it repaired every other week.. New install was 3-**-17 and here we are 17 days later and the door has shifted again . I have not yet contacted them and I honestly don't feel that they can resolve this and just want a refund so I can look somewhere else and use my shower. This has been going on for months, obviously must be a manufacturer issue.
