Review: I purchased an $830 car amp over the phone from Zed Audio on Aug. 15, 2013. The original problem arose because apparently the builder was sick and in the hospital and the amp that I was told could be built and shipped within a day or two didn't arrive for 3 1/2weeks. The first time that I tried to use the amplifier it would not turn on. It took 2 days for me to get in contact with the manufacturer about the problem, my emails were not responded to. After finally speaking with the builder I was told to send the amp back and that I would be reimbursed for the shipping cost. I emailed the tracking number to the company and indicated in my email that if the amplifier could not be returned to me in working order by the following weekend, that I wanted a refund. I had spend so much time waiting that if he couldn't fulfill this request, I was going to purchase from another company. I finally received the product on Oct. 8th, nearly 10 weeks after the purchase date, but there wasn't a check to reimburse my shipping costs, and it didn't arrive before the weekend. After an email, I received a check a few days later. I tested the amp and it turned on, but after further testing the amp was noisy and and made a high pitched sound that I couldn't deal with. I spent several days testing all other components to make sure that nothing else was causing the problem. It was the amp and I was told to send it back. The amplifier was delivered back to Zed Audio on Nov. 4th. It has been 3 1/2 weeks and I have not received a refund. I have sent 3 emails, none of which have been responded to, and I have also called twice. The first call was on Nov. 15th and I spoke with Steve and he said he hadn't read my emails and that his wife would need to issue the refund next week. I called on Tuesday of the next week and Joyce thought a check had been sent. It's been 14 1/2 weeks since purchase, no amp and no refund, they will not respond to emails, last phone call indicated that I should have received a check a week ago.Desired Settlement: I expect my refund to be made immediately. I do not understand why my refund needed to be made with a paper check, instead of put back on my debit card. The latter could have been done in a matter of minutes and posted to my account within hours.
