Complaint[redacted] he came to my house to look at a stove. he sais $40 servce charge to com e and tell me whats wrong. after this he said $77 total I disagree and he said I offended him. I ask him to fix the bake element which he said would be $130 total. I said this is a better deal for me rather then just pay $77 for nothing. he said he would he goes to his truck and drove off after I gave him the money. Now he wont respond to my calls.Desired SettlementHe needs to finish the job. Business Response [redacted]Ms.[redacted] called me Wed., Dec.16/15 at 1:11 p.m.to look at her range. I provided the service within 45 minutes of being called. I performed an in-depth diagnosis of all of the problems with the range. I gave a detailed estimate on the necessary repairs on paper. I recommended not to repair the range due to the cost ($335), she agreed.My rates were discussed when I showed the customer my break-down of how I arrived at the estimate figure.When I presented a bill for the service call and a half-hour minimum of labour, that's when a problem arose. ($77.00 with taxes).I have been charging the same rates since Jan., 2010. Up until now, I have never had a problem [redacted] I again explained my service call and labour rates to help solve the issue.The customer went away into another room and was talking very loudly on the telephone in her native language. I had no idea what was being said. She came back to the kitchen area and the arguement continued. I expressed at that time that I had another appointment to attend and my time is valuable. The customer left the kitchen again to have another telephone conversation.When she came back to the kitchen, she had $100 cash in her hand and asked if I had change.I went outside to my service vehicle and returned with the proper change. When I came back inside the house, she was on the telephone again. When she came to the front entrance, I was asked if I could just repair the oven part of the range ($132 estimate given).I had arrived at 2:00 p.m.. It was now 2:55 p.m..I answered "no, call me to arrange to come back".I handed her the change for the $100 and left. [redacted]The customer phoned me while I was on my way to the next service call(3:01 p.m.). I was in no mood to keep arguing while I was driving. The conversation lasted 27 seconds (on cell-phone record). This is the only conversation I had with her after leaving the residence. According to the Revdex.com correspondence, the complaint was filed immediately. But at the same time, I'm accused of "not answering her calls". If the customer had contacted me the next day, I may have considered coming back to do the repair. [redacted]
