Zeigler Cadillac Buick GMC of Lincolnwood Reviews (%countItem)

I purchased a car from this location about 1 year ago. I was given 2 sets of keys. I've only been using one key since I've gotten the car. But recently had an issue where my keys happened to get flush down the drain (daughter 5 year old). So I go to use my second key and it's not working. I am able to physically unlock with the key but can't start the car due to the anti theft not reading the key fob. I had my car towed to the dealership so they can look at the key and see what's wrong. The dealership wants to charge me for a new key to replace the messed up key they gave me. Why should I have to pay to replace the none working key given to me by the dealership. They want to give me 2 keys and system for $545. This is very unprofessional, very inconvenience and it's like they have no care of helping.. merry Christmas.....

I went to purchase a advertised vehicle from Zeigler GMC, after sitting down and started the paperwork, I was told that the vehicle was more then the advertised price based on the package that was installed. However the package was listed on their advertisement as included. The dealer falsified online advertisements to promote their business.

Good Afternoon Mr.,

My name is Joe St.*** I am the Vice President for Ziegler in Lincoln wood and first let me apologize for the trouble this issue may have caused you. I have done a little research on this matter for you and I believe there has been a misunderstanding. We will of course always honor the advertised price of any of our vehicles and apologize for this misunderstanding, it seems the salesman and manager that helped you with your transaction that day was explaining in detail the available options that were available to you on this unit. From the staffs opinion when they went over the available options on the car you became discouraged because you felt they were trying to sell you more things and all you wanted was the Advertised price.

While we will always honor our advertised price we will go over every available option that is available to you as our customer so you know what you have available to protect you investment. You of course have the option to decline the optional items and purchase the car for the advertised price. While we strive to provide each and every one of our customers a great experience sometimes we fail. I seems in this case we have failed you and I apologize for that.

We will honor the advertised price if you are willing to revisit if the car you were looking at is still in stock and available. For you trouble and inconvenience I would like to offer you $100.00 which with your acceptance I can mail to the address of your choice.

Thank you for bring this to my attention.

Joe St

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

I'm rejecting this response because I went to your dealer on two separate occasions and received the same answers. You are telling me that the salesman went over the the extra options of the vehicle but it was already included in your advertised price. I still have the screen shots to prove it.

Day 1, I walked in because the vehicle was listed at $31,000 and some change. I was told that it was a error that the price was going to get changed. Salesman advised me that the extra $10,000 was for the options and that the price was going to be adjusted and that every dealer faked prices, WHHAAATTTT? New total $41,000. Told the salesperson, no thank you and went on my way.

Two days later, I checked the website again and now it was listed for $39,000 and some change. Thinking it was a reduced price from $41,000, I again walked into the dealer to purchase the vehicle and again I was told that the vehicle was not what was listed. Salesman proceeded to walk to his manager to get the invoice price, turned out to be $51,000 and some change. How is it possible that two different days I went in and both days are wrong. It's because it was a classic bait and switch.

Again, I have all screen shots from 31,000 to 39,000 to your invoice price of 51,000. As a consumer I think that its definitely unfair that we get the good o' bait and switch. I wasted four hours in total at the dealer and not including the time I spent on the road driving to your dealer and all your offering me is $100. Your dealer should be ashamed of themselves on how they lied to customers to get them in the store. Whats funny is that the same thing happened to another customer at the same time. You can read about it under your dealer reviews. Again if you want to see the screen shots, I still have them all.

Sincerely,

Axel

I purchased my car at this location referred my dad to buy his car there as well. The service department needs work. First when you schedule an appointment they dont take you at the time you scheduled the appointment because they are busy attending walk ins. I have been calling this is my 3rd straight day wanting to talk to a specialist to ask how much is a tune up just to be ready with my money I'm gonna spend doing it and either I get hung up on or they tell me to leave my phone number and they will return my call but never return the call.

far the # 1 worst experience ever had I will never buy a car from Zeigler ever again the General Manager Steve *** is the worst General Manager and he should be fired ASAP he doesn't not care one bit about customer on what they think or care what they have to say. Hey basically told me flat out "that's the price of the car if u dont like my price get out of my store" now I dont work in sales but what I do know is that's NOT how u talk to customers, He is very rude individual and should not be working in the vicinity of customers

Tommy,
Sorry you felt I did not treat you like you thought you should have been.
Our conversation was actually not as you have described.
We offed you our best deal, and you insisted on a discount that we could not accommodate you with.
We gave you our best deal and it was your choice weather or not you felt it was the right deal for you.
Thank you for your purchase, and wish you well.
Steve *** General Manager

It was exactly how I described there where 3 other employees of yours that will verify it

Zeigler Cadillac Buick GMC of Lincolnwood Response • Jun 10, 2019

The 3 employees will verify that I told you exactly what the General Sales Manager told you.
I had no room to give you a discount, and you were unhappy that we would not move on the price.
You insisted on a discount, or something for free.
You knew the price when you came in to buy the vehicle, and that is what you paid.
I see no basis to continue this nonsense, as it has no credence.
We treat every customer with respect, as our entire staff did.
I will not continue to reply your frivolous reviews that are not true, and our loyal customers will see through your Preposterous Review.
Enjoy your purchase

I purchased a New 2018 Cadillac in June of 2018. I provide my own finances (my Financial institution provide me with the necessary funds to purchase the SUV). I know what I want and how much it would cost. I was offered an extended warranty in which I declined. When I received my statement from my financial institution, there was an increase of 5k on it. I promptly called the financial institution in day and was told that I purchased an extended warranty. I called Zeigler and inquired about how an extended warranty which I declined had been billed to me. Zeigler’s finance personnel told me that I purchased the warranty and when I asked for proof of my signature they cannot provide it. I ask for them to immediately cancel the extended warranty and refund the funds to my financial institution (that was in July 2018) as of today the funds have not been released/refund to my Financial institution. I’ve called multiple times regarding this matter and have been sent to voicemail/ told I will receive an email as to when the funds will be returned to my Financial institution as of today I have not received that email nor a call back regarding this matter, nor have the funds been returned
