leaving by noon 10/26/Please refer to the mail sent 10/3/when we made the offer, The new tenants didn't care what date as they were both moving from their parents homes, We made the offer because the tenants leaving voiced on more than one occasion they were ready to leave at any time We did not charge for repairs to the walls despite their not leaving until October and our making multiple inspection trips at their request-each time they claimed they'd be cleaned out, they were notIf we had charged for the time and materials repairing the walls, it would have cost more than the five (in reality four) days' rent the complainant requests be refundedIn fact when they left, two mattresses and two box springs were left in the yard, We had to put a stop payment on our first check to have them return and remove the mattresses, That proven mistrust is why we withheld $from our next security deposit refund checkAt their request, even after they lied and made excuses, we returned most the deposit when they left the state instead of waiting up to days as the lease and PA law allows.Other examples of our generous deposit return: The lease states no smoking on the premises and we have a neighbor witness that one of the tenants smoked on the porch-grounds to withhold the entire deposit, The deposit guidelines require professional cleaning of the carpetsThe carpets were not professionally cleaned-again, grounds to withhold more of the deposit.We stopped communicating when we answered as best we could without what seemed unnecessary rehashing of the same details,Sincerely,Janet B., Member
