Review: I've recently been going back/forth with [redacted] to get him to honor his craftsmanship on a several jobs he performed for me at my home. Frankly, I am highly disappointed in his professionalism, and his quality of work. I have had to call him back to my house several times to fix the same problems multiple times. His quality of work hasn't been respectable or up to par. Earlier this year I had to call [redacted] BACK to fix a leaking pipe in my basement, mind you he was initially called about a year ago or so to fix the same problem previously. He fixed the same pipe again but before he left my house I wanted to make sure I didn't owe him anything so I asked [redacted] directly if I owed him anything and he said, "nope, we're good"! I didn't think so but wanted to make sure. Warranty work cool! About a month in a half later [redacted] came by to fix my bathroom facuet only to have the same problem happen again two days later. I immediately called him and he said he would have to order the part and would let me know when he had it. 1 week 2,3 weeks go by and I haven't heard a thing from [redacted]. I called to follow-up with [redacted] and after several phone calls over a weeks' span he finally called me back to setup an appointment. We were all set for Friday at 9:30am but [redacted] didn't show up, no phone call or anything. Just a no show, I even took off work that day only to have him not even have the courtesy to give me call to reschedule. This was back in March and til this day my bathroom faucet is still broken, he finally stop by in SEPT after getting after him but NOW he is trying to bill me for his warrantied pipe job earlier this year stating that if I didn't pay him he wouldn't fix my broken faucet and would take court action against me. I told him go ahead. [redacted] became very loud and disrespectful in my home and I had to ask him to leave. He slammed my door on his way out. My faucet is still broken and I feel he had more than enough time to rectify his poor craftsmanship. Help...Desired Settlement: I would like Revdex.com to talk to [redacted] about his work he has done for me and talk to him about his professionalism, quality of work, missed appt. and unfair billing around work he hasn't completed. Also he has contacted me is the last several months for payment and has harassed me about taking me to court. If I owe [redacted] anything it's would possibly be for fixing my broken faucet but again that broke two days later and requires warranty work. I do not feel any court action would be justified.

Response:

I repaired a pipe on hot water recirculating line in October of 2010. [redacted] called in February of 2013 to repair a pinhole leak in the same area. I repaired the leak and explained this would be a recurring problem due to turbulence in the water. [redacted] asked about if this was under warranty. I told him I would check when the original repair was done and if it was one year or less, it would be covered. The original repair was actually done over 2 years ago and therefore no longer covered.

While at the house he indicated he had a problem with his lavatory faucet. I did not have the parts to repair at the time but told him I would order them and schedule a time to repair the faucet. I did set up an appointment with him to repair it, however I was unable to make it and mistakenly forgot to call. I did apologize for that mistake. I set up another appointment in September 2013 to fix the faucet. I then received another call from [redacted] stating there was still a problem with the faucet.

I made another appointment to find out what the problem was with the faucet. I indicated that I needed to be paid for both service calls before I would do the warranty work on the faucet. I still hadn't been paid for the February service call to fix the leak or the service call to fix the faucet. He said he wouldn't pay for the faucet since it was still broken. I agree, but asked for payment for fixing the pipe from February. He said "I'm not paying for that either." We have filed court action to collect on the repair of the pipe.

I did not at any time raise my voice to him or slam any doors in his house.
