At this time, I have not been contacted by Ziff-Davis Media regarding complaint ID ***Although they are still sending me unwanted spam
*** ***

I do not know what the complaint is about. And the person does not want us to do anything.I have no idea how to respond.

I also had an ancient subscription for PC Magazine that I no longer wanted. As it was being delivered via Zinio, I asked them to stop it. A very quick email reply told me the subscription was direct with Ziff Davis Customer Service and that Zinio only managed the delivery side. I was advised to call Ziff Davis customer service in the US on 1-800-289-0429. One call their seems to have been enough to get it cancelled - let's hope 

Both Zinio and Ziff Davis were helpful and not in the least obstructive.

Hope this helps others.

Review: I have been unsubscribed from their mailing list for weeks but am still being bombarded with spam from a [redacted]. When I try to unsubscribe I can plainly see that I have no subscriptions to any of their newsletters, yet I still get emails each and every week. They have no customer service that I can locate to complain about this mistake on their part. They have also ignored my direct email inquiries. This is harassment and I will sue if it doesn't stop. I am first making this complaint as a last ditch effort to get through to someone in this awful company. I would also like to warn the general public not to trust them with your email address.Desired Settlement: For them to stop inundating my inbox with their spam. I don't want it and I want nothing to do with this awful tech magazine/publishing consortium.

Review: Go to the website for [redacted], at [redacted], and access the link titled "Terms of Use" ([redacted]), located near the bottom of the home page. On the "ZIFF DAVIS TERMS OF USE" web page, section 6 "Indemnity" states "You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Ziff Davis and its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, owners, agents, information providers and licensors (collectively, the "Ziff Davis Parties") harmless from and against any and all claims, liability, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including attorneys' fees) incurred by any Ziff Davis Party in connection with: Your use of, or connection to, our Service; Any use or alleged use of your accounts or your passwords by any person, whether or not authorized by you; The content, the quality, or the performance of Material that you submit; Your violation of these Terms or the Privacy Policy; or Your violation of the rights of any other person or entity. Review: Several years ago I canceled an online subscription to PCMagazine as I have not owned a PC since 2010. Suddenly there is now a charge to my credit card for a subscription fee. On attempting, again, to "manage auto renewal options" on the website, I entered my City and Postal Code correctly. A message saying that my City and zip/postal code do not match, despite their being correct. This does not allow me to attempt correcting the charge or communicating with them as I have not been a client for several years.Desired Settlement: Cessation of charges using my credit card and refund of charges to me.

Sincerely,

Review: Ziff Davis Inc. owns PC Magazine(PC Mag). I unsubscribed from their emails a long time ago but I still receive them. Today I received an email that says I am subscribed as [redacted]. This is not me. Obviously this is a deceptive and fraudulent business practice so they can still continue to send emails to people who have unsubscribed and do not want to receive emails from them. I want them to immediately stop sending me their emails and to immediately stop associating me with "someone" within their corporation.Desired Settlement: I want them to immediately stop sending me their emails and to immediately stop associating me with "someone" within their corporation.

Response:

The complainant has been unsubscribed from all our email lists as requested.

The email she references contained an incorrect footer email address. The name and address in the footer belonged to a Ziff Davis IT employee who was doing some internal testing and neglected to update the footer.

Prior to receiving the complaint we had sent the complainant an email apologizing.
