We were very dismayed and concerned to receive the recent complaint from Mr.[redacted]. We have been in the resort development and sales business since 1979 andrarely (if ever) do we receive complaints such as this one. We understand that the salesprocess can be fluid and emotional and that the...

perspectives can sincerely vary greatly asto what actually happened. As outlined below we will do everything we reasonably can toassist with rectifying this situation. The following is our perspective as to the sequence of events that occurred related to thismatter.Mr. [redacted] and his wife, [redacted], were offered the opportunity to attend a timesharepresentation and tour our resort, The Resort on Cocoa Beach, in exchange for a $75prepaid Visa card, a $25 Gas Card and a vacation certificate. They arrived at ourreception desk at 12:45 on the afternoon of January 16th.Their sales representative was [redacted]. [redacted] has a Florida real estate license and hasbeen a representative of ours for eight years. During that time, [redacted] has conductedapproximately 3,000 sales presentations with almost no complaints. The resort that wesell is a beautiful, oceanfront resort and most people that attend our sales presentationswant to purchase, if they can afford it. Therefore, we do not need to use, and do not use,high-pressure sales tactics. At some point during the sales presentation, Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] decided that theywanted to purchase a timeshare interval from us. Under the terms of their purchase wewould provide financing. They signed the Purchase Proposal and other preliminarypaperwork which gave us permission to obtain a credit report, they gave us their driver'slicenses. and they gave us their credit card to run the down payment for their purchase. In every sale we consummate whereby we will be providing financing to the purchaser,we without exception run the purchaser's credit report to ascertain the purchaser's creditworthiness. Therefore, with Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]'s permission, we ran their creditreports, charged their credit card, and prepared the final purchase documents. However, when it was time to sign the sales documents, they had a change of heart and decided notto purchase. We returned their licenses to them, reversed the charge to their credit card, and provided the incentives they were offered to attend the sales presentation. At no time during the process did any of our employees get angry with them, slamanything on the table, or attempt to stop them from leaving. We did however tear uptheir confidential information that they had provided to us at their direction.Even though Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] gave us permission to make the credit inquiry, wehave contacted TransUnion to see if the inquiry can be removed. TransUnion told us thatwe need to obtain a letter from Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] advising TransUnion that they areaware that Cocoa Beach Development, Inc. (the developer and seller of the resortproperty) ran their credit and that an inquiry appears on their credit reports. They mustalso state that they are in agreement that the inquiry should be removed from both of theircredit reports. They should also include their social security numbers and contactinformation and forward the letter to us. We need to send their letter along with a similarletter on our letterhead to TransUnion's dispute department to allow them to consider therequest. They told us that if the two letters are received separately, they will be rejected. They also told us there is no guaranty the inquiry will be removed. Please note that we.have no control over TransUnion, but we will send the letter on Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]'sbehalf. If TransUnion does not remove the inquiry, Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] will need tocontact TransUnion as there will be nothing more we can do for them.We regret that this misunderstanding has occurred. We pledge to work as diligently aspossible with Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] to have the inquiry removed. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information to you in response to thiscomplaint.

Review: We went to cocoa beach resort in cocoa beach Fl for a tour. Owned by towne homes a division of zilber ltd &RCI The sales pitch from [redacted] is high pressured and very confusing. They try to use scare tactics along with many other unetical practices to keep you confused. I am [redacted], along with having [redacted]. They ran my credit even after I said I was not interested in there timeshare program. They attempted to stop us from leaving when we said we didn't want to continue. They held us for over two hours badgering us to purchase. They got very angry when I asked them to stop because my wife and I were very uncomfortable. [redacted] came out and tried to "jumpstart" the deal once again. I declined to sit through the presentation for a third time. He became very angry, tore up the papers we filled out for the tour and slammed them on the table in front of me. The contracts they use only have a website listed to review the terms and conditions of the loan. They would not allow us the use of a computer to review the terms, or fees etc. I did not authorize them to run my credit. They ran it anyway. Which I have suffered a negitive impact to my credit score due to the hard inquirie. They are affiliated with RCI. They do not explain anything and say that you are just filling out general paperwork, interupt you while you are trying to read what little fine print exsists on there contracts. I have suffered greatly at the hands of Zilber Ltd and RCI. Since they ran my credit without my consent we may lose our house now because it dropped my below the minium credit score needed to refinance.Desired Settlement: To have them remove the credit inquirie I did not authorize. Also to get this out there so another disabled veteran and his family won't be duped into this scam. I have fought for this country and the safty of all in it, please fight for me. I am so distraught over the thought of other people being taking advantage of by this company it make my chest hurt. Thank you for your time, god bless
