determining the size of suction lines, the line must be kept large enough to minimize pressure drop, which minimizes capacity loss, but small enough to keep velocities high enough to maintain oil return to the compressor.
Liquid lines must be large enough to minimize pressure drop, but small enough that the extra refrigerant they hold will not damage the compressor.
We installed this system and every one beside this one per manufacture recommendation
The system is 3 Ton AC and the line set required is 3/4" suction and 3/8" hi side (this what the our American Standard require)
Many HVAC manufactures have different size requirements so please make sure the company you hired knows this)

I know you used company lest year to inject stop leak in to the system and recharged the system

It cost me $7000 which includes the unit I purchased 4 years ago and the replacement unit. I am not asking for the full $7000 that I am out of, I am asking for a refund of the cost of the original unit that never worked from the beginning. The cost for the replace the system was $3300. I had two different companies tell me that I had to replace the unit. I was also told that the cost of replacing the line set was $1200 but they did not want to do it because then the problems tied to the unit would become their problem and they did not want to deal with it and my only option was to replace the whole system (which now works correctly since its installation 1 month ago.) I've also had the coolant replaced one time prior to replacing the system which costed me $500. Renew
I would like to put things into perspective and break things down into how to balance both mental and physical being. Throughout the course of my blog, I am going to discuss the mind body connection and how it relates to a happier, more fulfilling life.
First of all, for a person to live a happier life, that person has to acknowledge and accept change. You can't change because somebody else wants you to as well as you can't change for someone else, otherwise you will be miserable doing it. You have to want to change for yourself. Until this happens, the rest of this blog has no meaning, it's just words.
Next, you have to see all the positive things about yourself and others, dismissing negative thoughts and feelings. It is ok to acknowledge negative thoughts and feelings as long as you can easily let go of them. Otherwise, more negativity will come into your life because that is all you focus on and that is not the objective here. Negativity brings on stress and stress brings physical imbalances and destroys the body. I will discuss later on how to work through negativity by using meditation and other ways to change negative thought processes.
I think the biggest goal is to bring experiences into you life not competition and material possessions. Life is about sharing love with others and making a difference in other's lives. Only experiences in life can bring you true happiness, not material things. The joy from material things is just temporary, it wears off then you are looking for something new to make you happy. Where as giving and sharing what life has to offer lasts a lifetime.
When you have a new AC installed, you should not have to worry if it's going to work or not. I have had nothing but stress for the last 4 years wondering if it will work or not.If work is done by a company, that company should support their work and not blame the customer for their faulty work. I know that sometimes things can go wrong and that is why there are warranties, especially if it never worked right since installation. I feel that I should at least get half ($1650) of what it cost me to replace the unit) since I have been through nothing but money and stress in the last 4 years.

Now is that you have a new unit?
American Standard brand is a brand of Zima HVAC choice for lest 6 years, I never had to deal with replacing a brand new unit, American Standard has technical and warranty department that deal with such cases. Many HVAC company will try to resolve AC problem talking with warranty first.
I understand you are upset to deal with me but why replacing to a new unit?

First, I had the a company come out and they said that they could try to fix the leak for $500. It only worked temporarily so when I called the company back again, I was told that I had to replace the unit because there was back pressure into the compressor because the line set was "too small" This costed me $3400. It was not the American Standard Unit that failed, it was the faulty installation from the beginning. If I have to keep going around in circles about this, I will take matters further and ask that I be reimbursed the entire amount, plus the $500 I spent trying to fix your mistake.
