They are right. For some reason the check is still missing. I
believe it was sent and the error is that it was misplaced here at our office. Even though we haven't found it yet I will mark the invoice as paid in full and send it to themI tried attaching a copy here but not sure if I did it correctly.-Howie Z*** ###-###-####

Here is our communication with the [redacted].  To sum it up I am going to call them this Friday because they said that is the best time.  We should be able to work it all out at that time. Sincerely,Howie Z[redacted]

Review: In May 2013 we experienced a water leak in the roof above our 2nd floor bathroom. We called Zimmerman's for an estimate to repair the leak. They sent a man to look at the roof. He explained that the roof above our bathroom was flat and required a rubber roof. He told us that the material used to repair the roof 10 years ago was not only incorrect but also not installed properly. We received an estimate of $1380 several days later. We agreed to the estimate, sent the deposit , and scheduled the repair. On October 10-11 we had a substantial rainfall. The roof began to leak significantly on Oct. 10th. My husband called Zimmerman's on Oct. 11. They said someone would be out on 10/14 to look at the roof. A man came to the house on the afternoon of 10/14, looked at the roof and left without consulting us. My husband called Zimmerman's again on 10/15 to find out the result of the previous day's visit. At this time the representative from Zimmerman's ([redacted]) informed us that several other things were wrong with our roof and they were basically not responsible for the leak. The man that came in June to give us the initial estimate never made one comment on the condition of the rest of the roof. [redacted] mentioned the chimney causing the leak, which is ridiculous because it is on the other side of the house. My husband expressed our unhappiness with the result of the work. After only three months we were experiencing the exact same leak in the exact same location. [redacted] became upset and hung up on my husband. My husband called back and talked to [redacted]. [redacted] explained that [redacted] was their most experienced roofer and apologized several times for [redacted]' unprofessionalism. My husband had to leave for an appointment so he ended the call promising to call back the next day. On 10/16 my husband called Zimmerman's. At that time [redacted] asked several times to record the conversation. My husband declined. We paid Zimmerman's to diagnose and correct the source of the leak. We paid $1380 to repair the leak in our roof. The roof still leaks and they refuse to correct their mistake.Desired Settlement: At this point we really have to question their workmanship and their business integrity. We really just want our money back so we can hire someone to repair the roof correctly.

Response:

The roof immediately above the leak area was a low slope

roof that was in such poor condition that we could see through the roof(see

before and after pictures attached). On May 27, 2013 we gave the customer

an estimate to replace this section of roof with an EPDM rubber roof. The

customer chose to have the work completed. We properly installed the EPDM

rubber roof on June 20,2013 and received final payment on July 2,2013. 3

and a half months later on Friday Oct 11 around 9:15am our secretary took a call

from **. [redacted] who said his roof was leaking again. The following

Monday we went out to inspect the roof. Our roof technician observed

there was no fault in the new EPDM roof but there was some possible issues with

the asphalt shingle roof up slope from the new EPDM rubber roof. Our

technician made several minor repairs as a courtesy to the homeowner. The

repairs had nothing to do with and were not on the same slope of roofing as our

previous work but were basic repairs and we wanted to help our customer so we

did not charge them as a courtesy. Before leaving [redacted]’s home our

roof technician wanted to discuss the results of his findings with [redacted].

He knocked on the door several times but no one answered. He could

hear talking inside the house but eventually assumed no one wanted to be

bothered and he left. We believe we did exactly what we told the customer

in writing we were going to do and then went beyond that by not charging for a

roof leak that had nothing to do with our work. [redacted] has not

indicated to us that his roof has leaked since our courtesy repairs but if he

did we would be happy to discuss what changes he might need.

Sincerely,

*. [redacted] Zimmerman

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

We hired this company to identify and correct the source of our roof leak. We followed their recommendations and had the rubber roof installed at the cost of $1380.00. The roof still leaks. When we called to report that the roof still leaks, the representative was very rude and condescending.
