Dear sir or madam, Our Kickstarter project received donations from Feb-Mar for nearly 4,backers Like most Kickstarter projects, we did not have a working product at that time, and have since designed the product, found a manufacturing company, and begun production We began shipping our first units in March, and sent out our 1,000th unit in late May Because we are a small company, most of our processes are manual and our production is not fast Our Kickstarter backers have been very enthusiastic, and unfortunately once we began shipping we were inundated with emails demanding that we ship all Mycestros immediately Unfortunately, because of our size, we simply are unable to fulfill all orders so rapidly We continue to make, configure, test and ship product weekly, both to US and international addresses; we are simply unable to fill our backorders in so quickly We've been offering all Kickstarter customers the option of a refund Kickstarter takes 5% of the donation and does not refund it under any circumstances; Amazon also takes 2.9% and $per transaction We have therefore been offering customers a refund of 95% or more of their initial donation, with Amazon returning its 2.9% to us We have never refused to refund a customer's money I would like to add that Kickstarter itself in its FAQs (found at https://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq/kickstarter%20basics) asks customers to be patient:: "It's not uncommon for things to take longer than expected Sometimes the execution of the project proves more difficult than the creator had anticipatedIf a creator is making a good faith effort to complete their project and is transparent about it, backers should do their best to be patient and understanding while demanding continued accountability from the creator." We have found no record of any email communications from Ms [redacted] We will reach out to her today to offer her our standard refund Thank you, Stephanie Takai CEO

Dear Stephanie, Thanks for your reply. I do not want to receive a refund, but I want to know more information of progress with your staff's great jobs. You say "Please Be Patient" in your blog. OK, but You need to communicate more with kickstarter's backers and pre-order customers, in your blog or kickstarter (not by e-mail). Please update more times, and It will reduce your "answering emails" jobs. That is my compliant. I don't have any compliant about I still have not received my mycestro. Please take care of yourself and please keep up the good work. Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear sir or madam,
Our Kickstarter project received donations from Feb-Mar 2013 for nearly 4,000 backers....

Like most Kickstarter projects, we did not have a working product at that time, and have since designed the product, found a manufacturing company, and begun production.  We began shipping our first units in March, and sent out our 1,000th unit in late May.  Because we are a small company, most of our processes are manual and our production is not fast.
Our Kickstarter backers have been very enthusiastic, and unfortunately once we began shipping we were inundated with emails demanding that we ship all Mycestros immediately.  Unfortunately, because of our size, we simply are unable to fulfill all orders so rapidly.  We continue to make, configure, test and ship product weekly, both to US and international addresses; we are simply unable to fill our backorders in so quickly.
We've been offering all Kickstarter customers the option of a refund.  Kickstarter takes 5% of the donation and does not refund it under any circumstances; Amazon also takes 2.9% and $0.30 per transaction.  We have therefore been offering customers a refund of 95% or more of their initial donation, with Amazon returning its 2.9% to us.  We have never refused to refund a customer's money.
I would like to add that Kickstarter itself in its FAQs (found at https://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq/kickstarter%20basics) asks customers to be patient::

Attached please find a file of our communications with the person who filed the complaint, showing that she has agreed to the refund process.

Dear sir or madam,
Our Kickstarter project received donations from Feb-Mar 2013 for nearly
4,000 backers. ...

Like most Kickstarter
projects, we did not have a working product at that time, and have since
designed the product, found a manufacturing company, and begun production.  We began shipping our first units in March,
and sent out our 1,000th unit in late May.
Because we are a small company, most of our processes are manual and our
production is not fast.
Our Kickstarter backers have been very enthusiastic, and unfortunately
once we began shipping we were inundated with emails demanding that we ship all
Mycestros immediately.  Unfortunately,
because of our size, we simply are unable to fulfill all orders so rapidly.  We continue to make, configure, test and ship
product weekly, both to US and international addresses; we are simply unable to
fill our backorders in so quickly.
We've been offering all Kickstarter customers the option of a
refund.  Kickstarter takes 5% of the
donation and does not refund it under any circumstances; Amazon also takes 2.9%
and $0.30 per transaction.  We have
therefore been offering customers a refund of 95% or more of their initial
donation, with Amazon returning its 2.9% to us.
We have never refused to refund a customer's money.
I would like to add that Kickstarter itself in its FAQs (found at
https://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq/kickstarter%20basics) asks customers to be

"It's not uncommon for things to take longer than expected.

and understanding while demanding continued accountability from the creator."
