Hell, I am Danny Z [redacted] of Zinda and sons.In regards to complaint [redacted] Mr [redacted] came to my shop and asked me to align his push rods and tune his car.I performed this job and unfortunately a heli coil I installed failed ,I then repaired the engine at no charge.Mr [redacted] then worked on his engine himself and it broke down a month later.Mr [redacted] engine had interior engine damage to the cam follower journals.I agreed to disassemble engine free of charge to have a mechanic of his choosing examine the damage.His mechanic determined I was not at faultHe didn’t like that answer.Not sure what else to say.Thanks Danny z

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I did not authorize MrZ*** to do anything with my push rods ,I had asked him to only adjust valves and tune carbs, and to look at why the push rods were crammed up to the sides of push rod tubes, this is all I had asked MrZ*** hadn't even adjusted the valves the main thing I had asked him to do, He breached or verbal contract by not full filling the valve adjustment and by using improper round washers where square hardened shims were to be used on rocker stands Mr Z*** tore into my motor on his own ,damaging my valve cover nuts ,my rocker head studs , and didn't even replace my good valve covers but put stock painted unvented covers on, and due to the rocker geometry being off since he rebuilt it on 02/13/it had been wearing on the inside of the lifter and lifter bore and when Mr Z*** put to long of push rods in it that was the final blow and it caused (coil bind or spring bind )that caused the push rod to be crammed up in the push rod tube and damage the lifter boss as you can plainly see that it had been wearing away since he had rebuilt it , as it only has miles on it , Mr Z*** has got to take responsibility for his actions as nothing had done this to the motor, but Mr Z*** .the rocker geometry wrong in the first place , as noted by many vw ASE CERTIFIED TECHS and the samba forum They have all replied with HE is at fault also Mr Z*** was supposed to call me so my mechanic and I were to go watch him tear down the motor and he tore it down and took it to the shop on his own , Which we also know he didn't inform Mr M*** with all the details and or the truth of the matterand find it a bit fishy as he was supposed to call us but he had done this on his ownMrZ*** has been served the proper paperwork for this matter , we got the motor back and anyone can see that it had been wearing since the day I had the motor rebuilt by MrZ*** , other then that I don't know what to say ,cause the motor and my ASE CERTIFIED TECHS say it all And MrZ*** is the only one that rebuilt this motor , And set the geometry improperly .Sincerely,*** ***

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Mr Z[redacted] Didn't set up rocker geometry correctly at time of rebuild on 02/13/2015 and as I drove it it was being destroyed on the inside , He then used to long of push rods finalizing the damage by the push rods being cocked at an angle putting to much side pressure on the lifter bore when he used the long push rods it created coil bind that finalized the damage by breaking the lifter boss all the way out. the oil had mass metallic fragments and glitter suggesting it wasnt set up correctly in the first place when mr z[redacted] rebuilt it . mr z[redacted] breached our contract using improper shims on the rocker assembly as he used round washers where square hardened ones were to go creating movement , stress to the rockers and uneven valve adjustment , speaking of valve adjustment he never performed the valve adjustment as to when he gave it back the first time after heli coiling a nut , the same nut that holds my good valve covers on , now not any good because he screwed them up not offering to get a new set or any type of replacement take good stuff in and get crap back out NICE!! he puts stock valve covers on a show buggy and so they leak so I bought a new set and put them on But I didn't set up the rocker geometry the wrong way Mr z[redacted] You did ,when you rebuilt it . and then He took my motor apart without me and my mechanic as to witness the tear down instead he did it on his own and the mechanic that he took it to has no clue about the geometry being off since rebuild and or the cause of the final damage that destroyed this motor completely 5 ASE Techs , The samba, A Porsche mechanic, Gene b[redacted], [redacted], MOFOCO techs state this guy has no clue what hes doing ,they say caused by improper geometry and coil bind , and they all find it to coincidental as to Mr Z[redacted] just worked on it , but the proof is in his text message after I complained He said " PUSHRODS STICKING IN CAM FOLLOWER . and I needed a valve adjustment strike 2 Mr. z[redacted] what I had brought it to u for
He knew what the problem was and he let it go anyway and he said I had bad swivel feet this is after he let me pay for him ruining my motor my valve covers and then let me take it away knowing there was stuff still wrong with my motor when I saw the round washers used as shims I text him and asked him how long he thought this motor would last ? NO REPLY from him (the answer 9 days after I had text him ) I missed the biggest advertising events that the summer holds due to this happening I rely on my show buggy to bring in ends meat and its what generates business for me and carries me through the winter but not this year , I tried working with him as to get it back on rd asap but he drug his feet as to not have any worry about my lively hood was to worried about finding him not at fault not trying to get his customer back on the road , and to keep him happy as he returned my buggy a day late as I had planned for two months had reservations and returned it a day late and set up to fail
