Zingen & Braun Insurance

Zingen & Braun had been our insurance representative for a number of years. After our agent retired in 2012 we noticed a significant decline in service. The new agents would not follow up on our specific requests to provide us with new options and were generally unresponsive. I had a claim last year resulting from me tripping in my garage into a bike which scratched my husband's classic car. The agent at Zingen & Braun told my husband that if we filed a claim we would have no deductible, the rate on the car I scratched would go up slightly but there would be no other impact to our rates. What they failed to communicate was that I would lose my Elite Driver status and subsequent discount which resulted in an overall increase to the insurance rate on my vehicle that will be in place for a number of years until my status is reinstated. If they had done more thorough research and communicated the potential impact we would have never filed a claim. Their lack of understanding of my policy is costing me money in the end. We have since severed ties with this agent and would not recommend them to others.
